Yes, that is excatly how I have it as well. I get well too easily distracted by something new. At times I've been concidering disablig the internet while I work, but it would be any use because I'd only too easily get it back online again. For instance, this easter I was suppose to finish of my current project. Nothing that should have taken much time, but I think I've only sat down for about one-two hours each time I went to do some work. In my de

Did it happend with the last WB version?
Open in Explorer? Dim WshShell Set WshShell = CreateObject ( "WScript.Shell" ) WshShell.Run "d:\" Set WshShell = nothing
animated would be nice hmm... Now would be nice if DesktopX had DirectX support.
To me it only happend sometimes when I apply a new theme and I have Firefox running at the same time. But it went away after I restarted Firefox. Seem that you have a perticular hyperactive version of Firefox. Could it be a Firefox theme or extension that could cause this conflict?
I suppose it's just one of them thoughts that, when they hit you, you think "That'd be funny. But I won't do it. It's quite silly really. ... Right,... where did I put my camera?"
Well, you could change the Marlett font to tweak some of the default appearnace in Windows. But there's a limit to what you can do, and with most people using WB or VS you won't notice much of it anyways. And since it's a systemfont it's not strait forward to replace. I learned the hard way. I wanted anti-aliased Tahoma text below 12pt on my Win2000 system so I opened it up in a font editor and tweaked the antialiasing setting. That was easy, making th

With VS you can only get VS skins. (msstyles) With WB you get VS skins (msstyles) and WB skins (wba). That alone is a good argument even if you aren't worried about hacking your windows files. Btw, if anyone claims that VS skins runs without a footprint, they are wrong. It's just "hidden" within one of them scvhost.exe processes running on your system.
What PixelPirate said. I'd very much doubt there would be submittet many really good fonts. Most likely it'd be fonts that barely includes the letters, signs and numbers for the most used characters on the english alphabet. And I've honestly had enough of them. Making fonts is by it self and artform and profession. And it's very hard to master. But by all means, I'm not saying that there are people around here that can do it, it's just going to
The most issues I've had is the windows border not beeing hidden. Making sure that goes all the way off screen in maximised mode doesn't really restrict your design. Then it's the titlebar buttons. Even though the actuall visible button doesn't reach all the way to the top, the creator of the WB skins can easily make a transparent border to increase the clickable area and catch clicks that where one or two pixels off. Nothing much, do
Hm.. I seems that people don't realise that the screen isn't actually transparent. Nor is this a photoshop effect. They have taken a photo of their room without the monitor, (prolly in a tripod or something else that makes the camera stay still) then they cropped the picture and applied it as their background. Then taking a new photo of the room with the screen in place, giving the effect of a transparent screen.
No problemo amigo.
ExplorerBar as in Sidebars on your desktop or the Shell view in Explorer the file manager? For sidebars: www.smartbarxp.com and www.desktopsidebar.com . Or you could recreate it in DesktopX. For the Shellview, you'd have to look that the existing themes that does that.
You downloaded a DesktopX theme. Not a skin for Windows. You will need DesktopX http://www.desktopx.net/ to open that theme.
Have a look into the WithEvents statement. Not sure if it helps, but it was all I could think of right now.
Where you running a widget? There is a widget manager in DX3 that gives you a list of running widgets and let you close them if you like. Have a look in your DX folder.
You mean Minimize to Desktop or Show Desktop so you can instantly see your desktop when you got windows open and "off" as in "Shut down computer". do you want the shut down options like restart and such or simply instantly shut down your computer?
Actually, there are programs that attempts convert bitmaps to vectors. Illustrator has a function like this, and I've seen others as well. However, it usually doens't work too well unless it's a somewhat minimalistic bitmap.
Msstyles is the filetype Microsoft created. However it was only intened that Microsoft made .msstyle for Windows and so they made a lock for the filetype. StyleXP is a program that hacks some of your Windows files and let you use other .msstyle files, usually a hacked Luna .msstyle. WindowBlinds doesn't hack, it hooks. It hooks into the messages sent in Windows that is related to painting the GUI and paints it own current skin instead of the standa
Where did you get this Longhorn Slate pack?
Even though you don't create you own skins, doesn't mean you can't tell if a design is flawed or not. Even though it's easy to say and hard to do, I don't think it's any reason to settle for less. Not that I think any designer do. WB skins for instance is becomming increasingly more complicated to make, as more features are added. No wonder that there might be some glithes. Fortunatly, people will give feedback to the author, that's what I like about t
Thanks for that link wwww123. My brother an I was looking for tab in the past, but never found any good site.
