I think you are running "DesktopX" and not the "DesktopX Builder". The "DesktopX Builder" is part of the "Standard" and "Pro" version, but not if you have the "Client" version. If you rightclick the DesktopX icon in the system tray, choose "DesktopX Welcome" a window should appear with "Load Widget", "Load Object", "Load Desktop" and then "Create" . If you don't have the "Create" button then I'd you have the client version and cannot e

Addition to my comment (#10). Another example would be my textobject. Now it got four object, one for the backgorund, one for the text, one for the caret and one for the selection. If DX had drawing abilities I'd only need one. Advantage because the text, caret and selection object are object that you don't need to interact with. Even more useful for my current object with is a listbox. Now I need to create and delete text object and selection obje

Ah, I see now. The opacity of the taskbar icons and labels are inherited by the transparancy of the underlying bitmap. I did some testing: I propose that we make a request for an option in DX that makes the taskbar (and systray) icons and label not inherit the transparancy level of the underlying bitmap. Seem to be quite a few people that wish for this. Anyone?

Depends what type of cursors you want to create. Do yiou want to create standard windows cursors in for format of .cur and .ani. (.cur are static cursors, .ani is animated cursors) Note that the windows cursors are limited to 32x32 pixels. I think a program called Microangelo can make there, though I'm nt sure it's free or not. Then you could create CursorXP cursors that doesn't have these limitations.

Interesting. I never heard about Aero "Diamond". I think my computer will be up to spec when Longhorn hits. Got an ATI RADEON 9800 128mb. All though, I might have upgraded the graphicscard by then since I work so much with 3D.

I tried a LiveCD of Linspire 4.5. I'm interested because I'm curious towards most thing withing the computer world. But there is not Linux yet that let me run 3D Studio Max for instance or even quite a few of the other 3D software. I'm sure there are some 3D software out for linux, but I have yet to hear about anything to mach what's running on Windows. (And you can't run your StarDock products on Linux. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/

Have you checked if the WindowBlinds files are removed? I wonder if the uninstallation went wrong. However, until you find a remedy and want to enable ClearType you might be able to do it from this Microsoft page: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/1.htm
