The right click menu in question loads automatically under the following conditions you have a DX theme loaded and you have the standard windows desktop icons disabled(not visible). I don't know of anyway to modify it. But if you have the standard windows icons visible it won't load so that tells me there is a way to disable it and it may be possible to disable it in a script. Aha! You see, I have always had the icons visible. BUT! It turned the desktop b
You assume that UAC is broken ? - UAC may be an annoyance to many but broken it most definitely it is NOT.A simple reg tweak is all it takes to turn on or off as many already know. If it's not broken, then why would you turn it off?
I don't really use skinned mediaplayers cause I keep it minimized all the time anyway. But I love the skinning engine in this. Skins which are PSD files. Great. I think it's worthy of a WC section.
I mess around so much with the system that I couldn't bear the UAC eventually. I tried levaing it on for a long time, but eventually I gave up because it slowed me down too much. And the switch to the secure desktop is just brutal. I got along with XP and previous Windows just fine running as an admin, I can't ever recalling being affected by virus or malware. I only wish that the Security Center wouldn't bug me about it. I disabled the popup do I wouldn't get that popping up everywhere, but
Why add an watermark?
Craig has me keeping current with Stardock...now I need someone to shave their head...in a show of support...yeah...that would be cruel,I mean cool. I volunteer my housemate! He's got long hair going half way down his back. About time we get that sorted. I also volunteer to perform the behairing.
Nah, no good. Just pass it on to me, I'll take care of it.
For my final major project I designed a computercase and created a prototype model of it. Afterwards I've been playing of having it produced somehow. Does anyone here know anything about selling or licensing designs? Do you know anyone who might know?
I don't get such an menu when I run DesktopX... What am I missing?
What kind of widget are you talking about? For the Vista Sidebar? Or a DesktopX widget? Or any other type?
I got a new system comming soon as well. I didn't plan on it as my current system works very well even though it's over three and a half years old. Still get 4.2 perfomance rating in Vista. But I won a contest where I got a motherboard, graphicscard, RAM, case and PSU. It's been lying idle now creating a breeding ground for dustbunnies. But the problem is that the motherboard had a 939 socket, and that type of processor is not being made anymore. And more and more suppliers don't stock them.
None of the existing ones work?
Hm... It's generally been hard to make thirdparty status indicators for MSN as they have closed the APIs for the program. Not sure if it's possible with just scripting...

I used the beta. Tried to install Ubuntu, but it didn't play well with my multiple monitors. Running XP on it from Vista worked fine though.
Sorry, but I still have no sympathy for telemarketers. I find silent spam annoying enough. At least mail and email just lies there and I can reject it at my own time and will. But it's hard to ignore a phone ringing. There is so much advertising around anyways that I don't want it seeking up me in my own home. I've stopped shouting at telemarketers, and instead I simply pretent to be interested for a while until I just say "No thank you. By the way I've reserved myself from telemarketing
What what what? I've never seen that. I still get the standard window menu. Can't even find a setting for it. What am I missing here? (I bet it's right in front of my eyes... The most difficult place to find.)
DX desktop rightclick menu Rightclick menu for object, or rightclick menu when you rightclick the desktop?
A "Type 1" font? What's that?

o_O? Oi! What happened to my paragraphs? Never mind. Some manual adding of HTML BR sorted it. But still, I thought WC did this automatic?
When I bought my computer over three years ago I bought it from Dell. To my dismay I found that the monitor had a red stuck pixel in the upper right corner. It turns out taht Dell, along with most, got a dead/stuck pixel policy where a certain amount is considered ok. Well, it's not ok in my world. I'm really picky with details. That pixels has taunted me for years when make graphics. And it was really bugging me when playing games and the radar display would be in the same area as th
