I don't know why everyone is waiting for Longhorn. Have you all heard what that minimum system requiements are going to be? I've heard stories that they will be a 3 GHz CPU and 2 gigs of RAM with a 128 Meg HDD. I'll have to look it up as it has been posted on the boards before. My point? If I have to upgrade my system syst

I believe this is just a current limitation in IconPackager (it may be due to an access issue with those instances of the "desktop" icon) It's not IP that has limitations, it's sometimes that the program doesn't actually query for what icons to use, instead it simply uses the default ones. Just noticed a small typo on the Create A Forum Post page: Plain Text Mode: Convert carriage return line breaks to standard HTML ' '. This option will convert every new line in the body of your post in to the HTML equivalent tag. This option is recommended form free hand typing and is the defualt option.

Nothing but the best and Microsoft should not be used in the same sentence. So why do you use WindowsXP then? If you don't think it is the best?

Wonder what country he's from... by the sound it's German. It sound like a really strage statement. Anyone taken a bath in the Norwegian sea know it's bloody freezing. And I can't belive he would have such low expectation to his own software. Doensn't make sence. All though... pretty nice PR trick to get people to download and try the software...

I just started fooling around with a Console like widget for DesktopX and was looking for a font similar to the one in Windows' Console. The font Terminal is similar as it got them special symbols, but it doesn't look quite right, and it's limited in what size you can use. It skips from 9 to 12. I looked at some font sites for anything I might used, but with no good luck... Anyone around here got any good suggestions?

I find this a bit odd, but I can not seem to find out how to detect mousemovement in DX. A function like Object_OnMouseMove(x, y) that would return the x and y coordinate of the mouse relative to the object. Is there really none?

Not if a preview of Longhorn is all you are after. Then it's much better to save the money for when LH really comes out. I am just hoping that the Beta is availible for "normal" people like us.
