Testing new things, playing arround...
Does that mean we will see a modernized Wincustomize in the future?
Is there a chance You mean Object Dock or any solo program and not Object Desktop (a whole suite of programs)? Same as buying "Excel" is not buying "Office".
Better, tell MS its GUI is crap
Nope, their policy of not letting one change it the easy way is crap. The Windows 11 GUI is pretty and elegant, just not fancy. I have to use it all the time (mumbles something about "no decent darkmode blinds" and runs away).
There are several people having the same experience, so it's not a coincidence. It seems Stardock decided to make the Object Desktop software a "subscription only" collection
This is utter nonsense. I am an Object Desktop subscriber since the 2000s. Once You let it run out, You can only install what You downloaded before. It may well happen, that windows changed things with updates meanwhile that the
Came a bit further right now. :-D Just testing, what is possible.
I solved this by pinning such folders to the right side of the start 11 menu in Windows 7 mode.
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows. Using Stardocks next super hot retro OS WB Theme (still super secret!) [e digicons]:D[/e] [e digicons]B)[/e] [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]O:)[/e] [e digicons]:P[/e] ;-) ;-) ;-) Just kidding, no need to get super defensive.
My problems vanished with the update to 1.44.
MS changed explorer bar again in the latest insider. Looks very like that is the problem.
Just discovered Setapp .
Bought a MacBook and about to work on the 'dark side' half the time. Are here any hybrid users doung the same and have You customized Your macs? Is it a thing in Macos or impossible? Some links would come handy. Thank You. :-) Yes, there is always Google, but why not make use of the customizers bubble here. ;-)
Is there any hope for a decent built-in dark mode skin anytime?
Thank You, that is of great use. :-)
Quoting djMot, reply 165 I installed via Object Desktop and have been checking there for any updates to install. To date, there haven't been any. Am I looking in the right place? <di
I am a bit surprised, as the version in my downloads says 2.0.0 (no beta). Can someone from Stardock clarify?
Quoting Andrew4025, reply 156 I have Start 11 and Groupy 2 installed. Every now and then the taskbar becomes unresponsive, I mean nothing is clickable except the start button. The problem goes away if I open Start 11 settings > Taskbar, and switch off/on "Let St
I would so like to use all Your creations, Chasbo. Tried styles, all too 'obscure' for me.
I am wating for Curtains to be Win 11 compatible, as WindowBlinds' missing darkmode support (not Stardocks fault) is not for me and WB therefore is not giving me the experience I want. Start 11 of course is essential for my setup and workflow.
"The GUI is a disaster" Your personal opinion. Quite a few people including myself like it.
"Among all competitors, it comes closest to allowing users to recreate a true Windows Classic Taskbar theme" It is made for all sorts of themes, it's a bit unfair to just reduce it to the purpose to make windows look like the stone age of computing. "All of the above features are available in WindowBlinds, but come with a large performance hit" Why would You want those features in Curtains then? Also keep in mind, the program was last updated
