I just saw the news and read about it on the net. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this recent disaster. I'm glad you are ok BX. Keep us informed.
It was suggested at the beginning of the contest to appoint judges to pick the winners, but this has a potential to create more controversy. Example: Let's say JJ Ying (a most recent popular author) and John Doe (a new-comer and unpopular author) are head-to-head on a competing category and the panel of judges pick JJ Ying as the winner. We'll then have half of the community blasting the judges for picking a more popular author just because he is
I understand your point Bushman, but just to clear some of your concerns here is what comes into play. -There are no judges on the contest. Winners are determined by download counts. -None of the sponsors are competing. -The contest is limited by the amount of prizes donated by the sponsors. In order to have a novice and expert levels on the contest more sponsors are needed. With only 6 sponsors I can only arrange a single level c
Good luck CW. Can't wait to see your entry
Just as NT pointed out, the method used to determined the winners is by download counts from registered users. Registered users are those people that have created an account on WC and are loged into the site at the time of the download. These will be the only downloads that will count for final judgement.
NT I try to remain neutral or rather reserved on comments regarding any particular author during the contests but I must agree that JJ is showing his great talent on this contest as he did on the past contest. And I also agree with you CW. Just as the surprise 1st plac

How many hours are in these 'week(s)' that you work on the skins? The Azar skin https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4692&LibID=1 took me about a week, working an average of 5 hrs a day
WOM, I'll be posting a status report on the contest shortly
Got it BX. Working on it
what is the level of competence/experience that some of you better known uploaders have. I've been skinning for a little over 2 years now (graphic design about 6 yrs) Were you able to create these great WBs just from the tutorials provided by Stardock. The tutorials helped me a lot to understand the mechanics of the programs (margins, tiling, etc) but I learned most by studying other artists work. H
In light of recent issues with moderation access to uploaded files, the contest has been extended one more week. Instead of ending on Oct 14 it will now end Oct 21 .

I might in the future but not now, only just started using this site and not ready for the investment just yet. That's understandable, but you will be running into another problem soon. As a non-subscriber to this site, you will reach a download cap soon, which means you won't be able to downloa
