Hi, My computer never sleeps or hibernates, I lock it when I am done and only the displays go black. They do not sleep either, I turned that function off, so it is just Windows blacking out my displays in the absence of a screensaver. When I first started using this version of star dock I would get a situation where, when I woke up my displays from sleep, I could clearly see a flash of my desktop. About a 2-3 second flash then it was gone and I was presented wit

High - the CPU usage thing seems to be new (?) I just noticed it because I was reading this thread and opened my task manager to see what groupy was doing "at the moment". I had just woken the PC from sleep and when I checked task manager it was approx. 3-4 minutes after waking from sleep. The high CPU use is something I can deal with because it only seems to happen after waking from sleep and restart Groupy and explorer.exe seems to resolve it. Honestly if I hadn't been reading the thread I
Basj my patience ran out a long time ago, that's why I am using old versions instead of beating my head against the wall trying to get 2 separate competing companies to figure out why their apps cause weird issues on my PC. I say "2 separate companies" because quite frankly Display Fusion works just fine with either Groupy OR Actual Windows Manager in more recent versions and also works just fine with both when running older versions. The actual problems that arise with more recent ve
Was this ever addressed? I have the same version of windows. Groupy is using 11.3% CPU usage steady right now as I look at it. By contrast Firefox is using 0.6% cpu usage Display Fusion is using 0.5% cpu and the other 8 programs/services using ANY cpu are all below 1% I was going to reboot, however, when I did that I cancelled it because I have Macrium Reflect and I forgot that NOW is backup time. Oddly enough, Macrium Reflect is
Just a quick note. Stardock Groupy has been causing me issues. For the past week my system has been experiencing slow boots ( I have an NvME and when it takes more than 5 minutes to reach desktop something is wrong) and slow restarts (on the way down it never shuts off-just keeps displaying Restarting with a busy circle), I have left it at restarting for over 3 hours, it never restarts-I have to use the power button to shut it off and then start it up again. I have start
I wish I could edit an existing post - either way, I just disabled Gsync, reset the refresh rate on the 1440p monitor to default (60Hrz) and enabled combine Groupy tab bar if possible. The issue is still there, so Gsync/refresh rate not responsible.
Thank You BasJ. That works for me. Is there a place to download a previous version of Groupy for me to test? Just to let everyone know, I have not changed the DPI settings of Windows on purpose. BUT, I do have a Gsync compatible graphics card and I do run my main desktop monitor at 90Hrz while the other two (the ones with the problem) run at 60Hrz. I DO NOT adjust the Windows Scaling size - it is set at default of 100%, however, "let windows fix apps so they're not blu
I just uninstalled 1.41, reboot, install 1.43 beta, reboot. Problem still there. It really is an issue for me, my OCD goes bat shit crazy whenever I look in the upper right corner of the window and I see those TWO X (close buttons) on top of each other, I wanna just scream. If I absolutely have to have the tab bar on top of the title bar is there a way go get rid of Groupy's close window button?
The setting "Combine tab bar with title bar if possible" is causing this. When I select "always place tab bar above title bar" the ill effect does not happen. This has started since groupy 1.41/Windows 2004 and an Actual Window Rollup upgrades. Yes all three of you upgraded and god only knows what is causing this. Basj, can you advise me on how to download to a previous version of Groupy? I would very much like to downgrade at this time because the titl
I forgot to add: Please advise me how to fix this as Groupy is pretty much unusable in this state.
Hi, For a screenshot click HERE . Having an issue between two third party programs. Groupy and Actual Windows Roll Up. I have submitted a bug report to the Actual Windows Roll Up devs and submitted a post in their community forums. Here is a re-post so Groupy people know whats going on. I am not sure how to submit a bug report to the Groupy D
Hi, I investigated a bit further, and this is looking like it has nothing to do with the Start10 application. I want to keep posting my results here, if only as an example to non-technical people of what can occur with a program and interactions with different operating system versions and other programs that have nothing to do with the program itself. If anyone can follow that? I see a lot of people posting things like Start10 did this, and start10 did that, and in mo
HI, Further testing revealed that if someone opens start 10 configuration, then clicks to highlight Style, then choose Modern Style and selects "modern theme - Windows 10 inspired look" then their recently opened applications, that are not pinned to their start 10 menu, will be remembered and displayed just below the pinned applications on the start 10 menu even if "show recently used applications" under style->configure is not checked / selected. However, if
Hi, EDITED; After further testing, just now, I realize it is NOT remembering any applications I have pinned to the start 10 menu. It only remembers applications I do not have pinned to the start 10 menu. I kinda of have the opposite problem of this guy: https://forums.stardock.com/501392/recent-items-in-start-menu Under Start10 configuration, within
OK AzDude - decided to just login again after reboot to say everything seems fine. Please close thread as resolved. Thank You.
Hey AzDude. I reinstalled. The version installed is 1.4. I assume based o this that I had version 1.3. Sorry for the mix up. The second "naked" install seems to have worked fine. I am going to reboot my PC immediately after posting this - my PC takes a total time to reboot of 26 seconds with login. That being said, if I do not post again within a minute or two, please close this thread as resolved. Thanks AzDude.
What version of Windows ( full version ) Windows 10 Pro 1909 - Build 18363.900 What new version did you try ? I am not 100% sure - I thought it was 3.4, but I just dd the download from my profiles available downloads and it started to download 1.4. I thought I had version 3.3xx but now I am second guessing myself. I am going to try and install the version I have available for download from my profile 1.4 and see if that works and if t
Thanks a bunch AzDude. Appreciated. I didn't mean my post to come out sounding as grouchy as it does. Is what it is. Thanks again.

As the subtitle says. I did the update, rebooted and opened explorer - I clicked new tab, then closed the new tab and all the tab features disappeared with the closed tab. Closed explorer, re-opened it, no tabs, reboot again, no tabs, uninstalled removing settings and saved groups, reboot, install again, reboot, no tabs. This is really bad. I want to download the older version I had so it will work until you've figure out this buggy update. Th
2 things. #1 - Where is the change password located from within my profile or account settings? I can't find it. #2 - this will be a bit longer - below: I was able to change my password for the the Star-dock account page with a few issues. I use ublock in Firefox which is disabled site wide for Stardock. My passwords are usually 48 characters long and auto-generated from the following website: <a href="https://passwordsgene
Hey thank you for all the replies and suggestions I appreciate it. There is no "You can delete the .groupy file from %appdata%\Roaming\Groupy" on my PC. Probably because I have no saved groups-I suspect the file is created upon the first saved group being created. Either-way, I deleted the Saved Groups folder a week ago (for the upteenth time) and so far after 3 reboots it has not come back. I have no clue why it stayed deleted this time as oppos
Hi, I would like to be able to remove the Saved Groups folder from the start menu. I'm a bit OCD and every time I delete it, it comes back, like a nightmare or a virus or spyware or shit like that. In the application settings there does not seem to be a way to disable saved groups, or even disable just the start menu folder entry. In the registry, some of the settings are not readily identifiable - not sure what they do-and others are obviously not going to affect what
