I concur with what rabitrobot has said. There are MANY programs that disable the Aero interface (well, Windows does it actually) since their UI code is incompatible with it. Photoshop CS2 is one of them, for example. Check your startup progs

Dibs on BebiBulma, if she'll have me...
Since the upgrade, I've honestly been getting WAY better load times... less than half the time of the old site. 2of3... The forums never quit working, to my knowledge, but other problems might have interefered with you accessing them.
Chasbo, it wouldnt be too big of a deal if they could remotely access the servers. Thats part of the problem at the moment: a couple arent even responding to pings. Zoomba has a post up regarding this situation now, so it would be good to give that a read-through.
Heres some official notice for y'all. Link
In the last twelve hours, I'm sure many of you have come to notice that the Galleries and Personal Pages are experiencing major slowness, or downright broken-ness. Its an issue that Stardock knows about, but unfortunately it likely wont be fixed until Monday [tomorrow]. It may just require a server reboot (which would be excellent) or they may be other issues afoot. Just letting you know that Stardock is NOT ignoring the problem. In the meantime, lets all frolick amongst
I believe I posted at 4am this morning that there were server issues, and that patience would be needed. Can I have a link to your gallery?
Good morning folks, just got word from above that things are likely to be spotty from now until monday, when SD opens again. Some server issues that'll need to be resolved. Patience please! In the meantime, chat it up here on the forums!
Whats your screen resolution? Sometimes gadgets open off the edges of screens at low resolutions...
For the record, Ryan (Zero) is very good about responding to emails... he's also working on an update to the skin, so its likely he has archived versions. I'd guess it would be a day or 2 response. He's also on dialup...
Did you uninstall the trial version first, then reboot, then install the full version, reboot, then use?
I'm all for seeing your viewpoint on things... I know you make the effort to not step on the little guy too much, and use what you know to enlighten others about the state of businesses or technology. These are valuable contributions that I engoy reading!
Its stretching the middle area thats 'inside' the margins. Thats how the borders work... if you dont want it stretched, you'll have to either put it outside the margins, or else perhaps use it as a glyph image (but i'm not positive how that works).
I've been using Vista since christmas-ish on my laptop I got in early December, and I must say I'm very impressed by the responsiveness of the UI (Aero or WB) and the configuration options are in many ways alot more powerful than in XP. The seperation of the administrative tasks and UAC (i think thats the name) is a great step to helping secure the OS, especially from a user perspective. I think its a great blend of power and user-friendliness that will definitely be a good selling p
Stardock North, we be chillin!
Version 2.0! Congrats to you and your lady... excellent work on a beautiful little girl.
Hmm, logging in works fine here, with the info staying etc... thats quite odd, but i seem to recall someone else with that problem as well. Gef, I think...
I reported this to the dev's earlier todya. Covered! Thanks for confirming it wasnt just me though.
Thats a good question, and I'm not sure if any regulars have asked about this before. To be honest, I dont imagine it would have the same limitation, but its also running before the video drivers load (still), so the problem could still exist.
Littleboy is a freakin DX plugin genius! He's doing some really cool stuff with both XP and Vista's API's, and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the crazy plugins he comes up with.
I'm curious as to how its going to be installed on OSX, with Stardock Central being Windows-based and all....
Master Apprentice PurrBall Today, 6:12 AM Not all good skins are made by "Master"s. Entirely true, but they have been viewed as having earned the right to sell their skins, due to their contributions to the site through many quality skins, and their long history of involvement. Think of it as something to aspire to...
Yay! ObjectEdit's gettin some lovin! I love using this program... I wish there was a little more complete documetation on writing the .syn files as well, if we're in the market for suggestions.
I agree, theres definitely a good crew of people who put alot of time and effort into helping people with problems. I really appreciate how much intiative is taken to help out new users, welcoming them into the community. These forums show a strong sense of moral and ethical feeling, minimizing problems, and emphasising good 'behavior' from newcomers. I'm glad I dont have to keep an eye on the forums 24/7, since I can trust that our friends will help out wherever needed. <br
(Master Apprentice)PurrBall January 17, 2007 19:19:37 I use OE every day. It's a part of me. If a computer doesnt have it, I just run it off my flash drive. I use it for a lot of web work, and text editing that doesnt need something fancy like Word. Exactly what I was going to say. Early on in my web developement, I got a copy of a php
