I'm running a 8320 8 core AMD processor with a AMD R9 285 card though like the previous poster I've not (nor can I be bothered) to create 50 odd IA races, though I'm only running 8gb ram so I'd not want to try it on a insane map as I fear its going to be insanely slow, though I imagine the processor use will be due to the AI thinking for those 50+ races opposed to the map size which only tends to draw heavily on ram as its revealed.

You should change to shipyard rather than factory as I was completely thrown by what you were speaking of as a factory gives production on planets. Interesting i'm almost positive it picked up on this in previous builds however though so it might be a bug so may require a you to submit a ticket.

Just got a complete lock up of the game when invading the first planet during the dialogue that follows. Game froze then the screen went black. Can post data either via a new ticket or added a my currently open one.

10. Shouldn't the Promethion Pleasure Park generate approval, not income. This has been confusing the hell out of me recently as I made spaces for them with Financial buildings and then gained no bonus, resulting in lesser efficiency with my lay outs!

Let me start by saying I enjoy the larger map sizes and I like Sensor ships because scouts are just too inefficient when you've got so many star to explore it's highly frustrating and if you think micromanaging constructors is bad then doing so with 50 odd scouts that need manual routing for efficiency is a whole new ball game I assure you. However I sat back and though I know what would not only keep sensor ships in the game for fast exploration but also bring Starbase

I've been playing on the larger map sizes lately and while I'm know where near as good as you guys seem to be against a gifted AI I'm not having issues with mirco managing unless I suddenly gain alien world via conquest and influence at a silly rate as you can't track the them properly and they kinda have no meaning to you. Influence is a massive problem for this as you can suddenly gain 10-20 planets in different parts of the galaxy and you've got no clue what's going

[quote who="Achronous" reply="19" id="3545700"] Interesting. I never got a warning like that. Mine just crashes usually after a click on the end turn. Actually I noticed yesterday that the game is unstable in the beginning and then irons itself out and I can play for longer periods. I e, I get three crashes when I first start playing, then on the fourth load it's much more stable. EDIT: I've come to the realisation that the fog of war might

So some thread Necromancy but listening to Brad I can't remember if it was in the Stream or one of the promotion videos on Youtube said he has ship designs for the Human ships in B5 saved in his version of the game. Well Sir I say to you please Share :D! Also if anyone is doing anything B5 related for a mod please let me know because I'd be all over it, as its the perfect politically for use with the mechanics that have been used to build GalCiv3 and really who wouldn't want to fi

Tactical speed is your combat speed opposed to your FTL drive speed, which is combined with Manoeuvrability and I'm assuming Chaff to provide your evasion value. Weapons range is the distance you can engage the enemy from which can obviously provide a huge advantage while Accuracy is what's used in a opposed test (guess) against Evasion to determine if you hit enemies or not.

Apologies I've not been online the boards since I posted that message though I've sent tickets in previously and will do it again for you soon as I've got five mins no worries. I'm only running 4gb ram which could well be the cause as I mentioned above but otherwise I'm running an 8 core cpu at 4ghz with a gtx680 so my system can handle the game. I'm upgrading to 12gb ram this weekend and am waiting for June to grab a amd R9 290 (since the 300 series is released which

Its as simple as that I'd already used planetary invasion previously but for what ever reason when I attempted in Drengi homeworld I got a heavy freeze then I had to go back to desk top as Galciv became a plain white screen that I could not even tab into, though the music was still running in the back ground, I have a feeling its still memory based and I will be able to put that to the test at the weekend as I am picked up another 8gb of ram to go up to twelve which I had planned to do re

Honestly I actually do not think this will be a problem once the AI's cheating in terms of map knowledge is fixed. Currently the AI b-lines directly towards all resources and habitable planets via direct paths ignoring the fog of war, so obviously when playing against gifted opposition I was finding every system I scanned claimed already as my search for such places is entirely manual while I had the constructors and colony ships ready and waiting for deployment I literally could not beat

I was just playing on a Large map and had this issue with literally every resource I sighted bar 1 being taken by the AI's I had a race for a couple but was unable to get my constructor there falling short by a turn each time, its almost as if the AI see you launch and works out which faction can send one to beat you to the punch and there was of course some cheeky sod set up a duel Anti-Matter mining base literally with 15 hexes of my home world, while there home world is only accessible
