I know that the rig with all the gizmos and do-dads can cost a bit, but these guys can easily make 100 grand a year as well. Yeah, but how long does it take to pay off $100,000, especially if you have to pay interest? Plus, the insurance on a truck like that would be enormous (plus all the insurances that you have to have on yourself as a contractor). $100,000 a year isn't really that much when you look at the expenses that they have.

The GPS is cool, especially if you aren't familiar with an area (you can use it when walking, not just in your car). Welding well isn't as easy as it seems. I know how to weld, and I also know a lot of metal smithing (which requires both soldering as well as welding skills). I have some advice (after dealing with RA for the past 22 years)- when you know that you have overdone it, before you rest, take the maximum amount of anti-inflammatory that you can take. Then, while you are resting, stand up and a move a bit every 10 minutes or so for the first 45 minutes. It will keep the swelling and stiffness down to a manageable level.

I just got a new phone and was torn between the LG Chocolate and the LG enV. I ended up getting the enV even though it is bulkier for two reasons: 1) you don't have to open it to get to the buttons. 2) when you do open it, you get a qwerty keyboard to text with.
