I am having the same exact issue on the Windows 7 OS. I suspect its the following. When Steam is online, starting the FE:LH will cause two series of installation of installation that will hang. Will need to force exit the installation. This will let the game FE:LH to run. Unfortunately the side effect is that Steam thinks that the game is still not installed properly & hence will not allow you to go to offline mode. My next

I have only played one game of the released version. So far, I found the random events can change the course of the game & also ensures that each game is different from the previous. For example, it the game that I was playing, the Terrans had just became an EVIL race when it was hit by a UP random event "Evil races can have only 2 trade routes". Ouch! Took the Terrans many turns by selecting all GOOD choices before they became neutral again & by the end game they were considered a GOOD
After installing verion 1.01a, found that ALL other modules were deleted; i.e. Multimedia, bonus pack, window version & manual. :sniff!: Luckily I had made an archive backup of each individual module & was able to recover that without redownloading. :D Anyone else had this experience?
Encountered a minor bug afer a UP resolution. When we go to the Foreign Policy screen, intead of the discription of the new UP policy, we have "String not found". I had a similar experience after upgrading Stardock Central. Says that multimidea file is missing. However, I could still play the game with cut scenes. I am in the process of redownloading the files. :notsure:

In an effort to make peace with the Torians, I proposed a peace treaty in which I agreed to pay a tribute of 17 credits per turn for the next 100 turn. The Torians accepted the offer. My concern is, after less than 10 turns, the Torians decared war on me again. However, I noticed that I am still paying tribute to the Torian even thought I am now at war with them. Is this correct?
