I'm really disappointed in the map. It works for civs with 15 worlds or so. Anything more and it hides fleet and starbases behind name banners. I can't zoom out to kill the banners and do basic empire maintenance. A lot of functions from GalCiv3 are missing which really helped managing large empires - 100+ planets. Just more frustrating than interesting. I don't bother saving games anymore because they aren't worth my time and effort. Nothing to see anymore. Just a bunch of name tags ...

At turn 121 I opened up a starbase build screen and the game crashed to an infinite End Of Turn because it tried to execute AI movement and turns with the starbase screen open. 50% of all game issues are caused by the game attempting to perform AI turns while the player is either in the starbase screen or the shipyard. It seems like a no brainer here but all game activity except for the selected operation should pause when the player opens one of those screens. AI turns and actions should onl

I hope you manage to fix the late game issues that center around movement discrepancies, autosaves, minor races and map artifacts like planet banners which hide everything behind them. I would rather see nongraphical improvements like game mechanics, accurate status displays, and resolving movement issues that degrade game play. Honestly graphics are the least important to me because I play zoomed out so everything looks like symbology. It takes me 4 to 6 hours a move at late game because of

When ever I reach late game movement becomes a disaster. The game constantly chunks because it automatically ends my turn while I'm in the starbase menu building modules or a shipyard building ships. The game just halts and slows to a crawl. Every time it seems to be caused by the game automatically ending turn while I'm doing something. I can't complete a single turn at the late stage game. The third exception that degrades game play is Auto Save - End Of Turn automatically gets initiated du

Not only doesn't it create an icon it also create an error message when I try to use it: The GC4 Game Install path isn't working properly. I expected to use C:\Users\Documents\My Games\GalCiv4\ Instead I receive a Access to the path 'C\Program Files\GC4ModTools\.localstorage' is denied message. Windows 10 doesn't like it. I tried to change your .exe permissions to full but it had no effect. It seems like it could be a promising tool but I can't get it to work with my Epic Game

Following today's NVIDIA update my game now crashes to desktop at end of turn. Driver roll back didn't fix the issue and there are only 2 autosaves so I'm up the river without a paddle. Losing a couple hundred turn game just sucks. I'm struggling as is to get population on my worlds. Even though all the numbers look good my citizens are always leaving my core worlds ... I can't build anything because I'm starved for citizens which makes for very long games (unless I'm a

I work under the assumption that if I don't point out these issues I experienced they might not get fixed in the final release. As for food tech? I've already tried that. It fails for me because planetary improvement tiles which increase food production also increase the population cap. This could also be a potential bug in need of correction by I can't even begin to guess whether it's platform specific or not. I use a 7000 dollar gaming workstation - which according to Microsoft doesn't meet

So far GalCiv IV sucks big time. There seems to be no way to control population. It just keeps growing and food goes negative until popularity hits zero. Population growth doesn't ever level off and I can't build colony ships fast enough to even put a dent in it. I think there is no such thing as game balance. I can't get a working civ off the ground because it's impossible to manager approval - there is no way to research improvements that I can tell and no tech tree. No way to increase food

I see. After it happened 4 times in a row I inferred it was a typo. There seems to be problems with how planetary improvements and tile bonuses work as well. The behave very different than GalCiv III. In each case I have an uncontrolled growth on my home world that increments my negative food balance and doesn't seem to react to planetary improvements or techs in a clear purposeful way. I end up with low approval, a growth explosion and negative food production. Nothing seems to stop populati

There is a random event that happens where a single person is discovered and you get to choose what to do. One of the options says to make the observation post into a class 5 world but when you do it you get a class 2 world. It happened twice in the beginning of 2 games at less than 10 turns and destroyed both games because a class 2 planet is too little to be self sufficient and there is no option to destroy colonies.
