You need to make a new research and add it to the player entity and the entity manifest. Updating all the associated counts along the way.
WOEaintME
Updated to V1.02 Changelog Due to the AI sometimes getting off to poor starts, most homeworlds now have an asteroid or moon (1 or more asteroids/moons except where there never was one present) Download link below: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/241967936/WOEaintMODS%20-%20DLC%20Maps%201.02.rar
1. See 2 2. An all black alpha channel will result in the default effect of no team colours. By default, when you save the file it may apply a fully opaque alpha channel, resulting in a model that is entirely team colour. If that's the case then you'll need to apply an all black alpha channel because the default save technique is ineffective.
1. Open gameplay.constants with a text editor 2. find pirateRaidDef (using ctrl + f) should be around line 441 3. find firstWarningTime and normalWarningTime (7 and 8 lines down respectively) 4. Values are in seconds (e.g. the first raid is after 900/60 or 15 minutes)
Well if they don't have any team colors to begin with, should I just make the channel and keep it black then?
My guess is that's what happens by default if there is no alpha channel but the all black alpha channel would work.
Well I never had any issues with making skins for this titan in the past...but now, there's like...nothing I can do. :/
You can add an alpha channel. Just change it from and RGB to an RGBA image and put your team colours where you want them.
I honestly don't think any titans other than Ankylon and Ragnarov have team colours in game (i.e. there is no alpha channel on non TEC titans). I don't know for sure though but I don't believe the others have any team colours in game.
Default Vasari Loyalist cl texture? Or do you want an image of what I see in photoshop?
Too long to quote
Agree with Sel, Hard was awesome before, whatever it may have been bonus wise.
I think it was a bad file as a steam validation came back with bad files. So far so good.
Is anybody else mini dumping nearly every game? I'm playing medium maps with 5 AI and every game I mini dump after a half hour or so. Been lowering settings each play which seems to only prolong the inevitable.
Default is the "Unit_Main" texture (assuming I'm interpreting your question correctly). Edit: If that isn't what you're looking for then I suggest taking a quick look in the other "Unit_xxxx" textures.
If a SP player has matured to the point where they can routinely beat hard AIs, then it is only natural the next difficulty they would want to play on is unfair... ... Lots of words and stuff .. There needs to be a difficulty level somewhere between the current hard and current unfair...if one becomes afraid that a jump between two of the higher difficulties (unfair --> cruel or cruel --> vicious) will become to
Chapter 4 is now ready for your enjoyment A few new characters introduced as the TEC fleet starts to shape up and prepare for an eventual stand against the barbaric alien invaders. I don't have any estimate for when the next chapter will be released (I want to get a few games in on this new Beta) but it should be out before the new year. EDIT: Quick change to all chapters. I realize
I agree with Timmaigh, once you get multiple Hard AIs down it's just a matter of speed as the AI doesn't get any smarter, it just gets more money to outspend you.
Work has finally begun on chapter 4 after a little mini break for the weekend. There has been a change made to the type of ammunition used by the Marza. Previously it was using high velocity, tungsten carbide slugs, now it uses high explosive amplified shockwave, M-type mining rounds. The change seemed more fitting as high velocity tungsten is more railgun-like (KOL battleship anyone).
The fair versions are a strange beast in my opinion. Fair uncolonizeables guarantee you'll get one asteroid type and leave it at that just because it's, well, fair. I agree there's no reason for the spawning probabilty of a certain extractor to be zero in an uncolonizeable gravity well but I also think there is no reason to change it. It needs to be limited in some way and this is a fine way.
TAR is not supposed to affect the partisan ships, Yarlen said somewhere that it would be addressed in the future.
3) The zeroing out is likely not a bug, just a case of they are guaranteed to have another asteroid type. 5) I believe the desert home has always had 4 asteroids (likely to make up for the lower population of desert homes compared to terrans)
Adding some "art" with information that will be used in the story eventually. Coming soon to a TEC Fleet near you Edit: I should add that the majority of details are non-canon and that the image will not be included in the story, merely some of the info contained in it will be referenced.
D'oh, I just found the SOASE Project link ( http://xsi.soase.x90x.net/Scenes/ I was wondering what that was). Yet again I appear as the idiot I truly am :P Sorry everybody
Hey all, I'm trying to get some of the stock models into XSI and have found the mesh to max tool (or whatever the specific name is, I found it under the modeling section of http://soase.x90x.net/ ), however, my version of max (2012 free student version) doesn't play nice with the mesh to max tool. Are there any other ways to get the default mesh files into XSI? Or are they already in XSI format somewhere? Thanks in advan
It's a trap!
That may have crossed my mind ;)
After the big Ottawa Sens win last night (yes, I'm a hockey fan) I was motivated to get my editing done today. That means that chapter 3 is now out ! The site has also been slightly modified, however, all old links and shortcuts should still work. There were a few typos in the first two chapters that I fixed in the latest release but nothing new that would warrant a re-read. Look for a 4th
Glad you're back (nice site too, wix is quite easy when it comes to making sites, or so I believe). I look forward to reading the new chapter when it's released.
