I've completed writing chapter 3. A few new characters are introduced to add a bit of depth to the stories of the existing characters as well as a scene you'll all hopefully recognize from the Rebellion intro video ;). Expect a release by Tuesday, December 17, I need to go through and make sure I like the sound of everything and do some "general editing stuff" between now and then.

I'm not sure about the Starbase but I know if the Antorak Marauder has its Stabilize Phase Space ability on autocast it will use it whenever the phase stabilization expires (i.e. the Marauder will ensure there is always a phase stabilizer around itself). I'm not sure if the starbase version supports autocast or not but if it did I would expect it to work in a similar manner.

I'm not sure what you've done wrong because I can take everything in the Galaxy Forge folder and use it (haven't tested on a different computer so it may search for stuff in my steam directory mind you).

That's it. You may want to make a copy of your default settings for non Dev.exe gameplay as the Dev.exe resets a few things (screen size among others).

-cl is team colours -nm is normal map (bump map) -da is data (red = shininess) (green = luminosity) (blue = reflective) (alpha = light emitting) If I recall correctly that's how the textures work.

Set in the Sins of a Solar Empire universe, Sins of a Solar Empire: The Legend attempts to create a story which ties the events seen in the opening videos of the original game, the Diplomacy expansion, and Rebellion, together in an epic tale filled with conflict. Beginning

I like the idea of targeted damage (destroy a ship's engines so it can't escape, destroy its bridge and reduce its accuracy or something, destroy the weapons or hangar to prevent them from being used, etc.) but targeted damage may require a more intelligent repair system (may not, the repair could autocast on any ship section with over x amount of damage). If there is any ability to destroy sections of a ship then I think there should be a system of capturing ships. For exampl

The static defenses (Advent Beam Turret, TEC Gauss Turret, Vasari Phase Missile Turret) do CapitalShip damage, which is, not surprisingly, the type of damage capital ships deal. The TEC hangar defense upgrade does antiverylight which is the same as the Garda Flak Frigate and other anti fighter frigates.

You could give yourself all researches through the Dev.exe (can't recall the exact commands but it is in there). You could spawn the necessary starbase constructors (not sure how well that works with the full research but no labs built. Unfortunately there is no spawn structure that I'm aware of though.

Updated to V1.01 Changelog Added a No Pirates version which removes the pirate bases from the maps, thus preventing your scouts from auto-exploring the pirate base only to die Changed some random non green stars to random stars (to allow for stellar phenomena) Removed autosaves present in the galaxy folder Download link below: https://dl.dropboxusercon

[quote who="Major Stress" reply="14" id="3423818"] Why are you guys pushing for this so much? Seems like some people want to be impatient, and rush this title out so that it will become an incomplete half ass mess that damn near every other sequel is. Fan Pressure pushing to rush a product out the door long before it is finished. So we can get another Sim City, SoTS 2, or X Rebirth. Pretty much beer coasters, or a waste of bandwidth now. I got myself a free trial of photoshop and I can now do what I want to do without scratching my head until it bleeds profusely (I'm sure I could do it in GIMP I'm just too feeble to use GIMP effectively). Thanks MyFist & Zombie!

I guess mt biggest problem is editing the RGB color channels of my texture when the Alpha has to stay transparent in order to prevent the entire texture from being team color. In the meantime I'm fumbling around with stock textures to try and figure out how to do what I want. MyFist0, do you make your textures in GIMP simply as RGB then go into photoshop and add the all black alpha channel? Also, thanks so far guys, I'm sure I'll have a eureka moment eventually and

Nevermind, it appears as though everything works, the small GIMP channel views, however, do not get updated for transparent colours. I should've done a bit more testing before creating this post and making myself into even more of a clown [e digicons][/e] oh well, live and learn.

Hey folks, I'm working on some ship textures in GIMP and am currently trying to get a a decent -cl texture, however, GIMP doesn't want to let me edit RGB channels without altering the Alpha channel. This means that my model's end up being coated in team colours because whenever I try to alter the ship's regular colour the alpha channel is also changed. How can I edit a colour channel without affecting the Alpha channel (e.g. make red markings that are transpare
