Just got the tweet

After, what I think is a mega event, a bunch of previously undiscovered class 25 worlds have been discovered. In my list of uncolonised worlds, some of these planets are duplicated as per image https://www.dropbox.com/s/07ejw6nab6mz0cd/Uncolonised%20World%20Bug.jpg?dl=0 Some are listed twice, one three times. I checked, they do refer to the s
I am willing to do Afrikaans translations, if there is any demands for that language. Which even I doubt there is, lol
Agreed
Cool, will play around with that to see
Thanks for the info guys
Thanks for this, out of curiosity what does the true do, if you still have to specify & to make it a two-way treaty? If I wanted to also change the cost of treaties what files would I need to mod. I want to basically make it that when I offer a treaty, I also always have to pay. I want to do this to make myself stop treaty spamming. So I only use treaties with
I have seen this with survey vessels too, weirdly a few turns later the unexplored ares of its path showed as explored.
I saw that new-MOO has all their treaties costing money. So if I want a research treaty with AI1, it will cost me money. I love this idea, as it will solve the diplomatic treaty spam. I wanna try and mod my game sothat all treaties cost money instead of being worth money to sell. I am browsing the xml files, but any pointers where I can go to get this change made will be great.
I also get the wonky dialog on insane. It shows the wrong message for a sec and then updates the dialog info. Lets hope the next patch addresses these bugs
I also had the issue. Reloading the last autosave solved it. But noone was near defeat in my game, so my guess is it has something to do with dialogue popping up at the wrong time, not the content of the dialogue
Gauntlet like your thinking. Would be a much better system, lets hope the devs read this as they are looking at redoing the whole economy of galciv 3 in crusade.
+1, would be great
I was watching my RAM last night. I have 8GB that is used for standby by windows etc.. Galciv 3 will use up all the free RAM and then start using swap. It never makes a dent in the amount of RAM used for standby. So it seems windows is not releasing the standby amount to galciv and that is causing my large swap usage. If this is linked to the general lag is another question. But it is possible. Will post some images later today of my RAM
Thanks for the replies. Might try some more RAM
I am trying out the insane map size, but running into alot of lag and regular frame rate drops. (Specs Core i7 6700k, SSD, R9 fury, 16GB RAM) I have 16GB of RAM and noticed that galciv 3 is only using around 6GB RAM, but it is using 10GB of swap. Surely it should use as much RAM is available before going to swap? I saw on the forums that 1.8 introduced some issues for insane map size, is that the lag I have been getting or have the 1.8 issues been fixed?
In the top right of the UI, the power tab that lists all major civs has a bug. When the list of major powers grows to the point where you need to scroll through them, the last power in the list is no longer clickable. So you can't use the list to get to the last powers diplomacy screen, which is annoying. This has been a problem since forever. Hoping this can get fixed as its adds way to many clicks to the game to circumvent.
I had the exact same issue. Trade route disappeared after they defied a up vote. Sent a freighter to the same planet and got the message, you are already have a trade route to this world.
I noticed my carriers are not leveling, could that be because they use fighter? I didn't really pay attention to my earlier combat vessels, but will test them out again. Edit: Tested it out and I was mistaken. Leveling seems fine
Did they change ship leveling? Only my surveyors are getting xp, nothing else.
In Yor tech tree, Research Matrix tech gives Discovery sphere along with research matrix. This seems wrong, as I cannot build a discovery sphere unless I take over a planet with a lower level Terran like research building. So it seems to have been incorrectly included in the Yor tech tree.
Just noticed that the ideology option, elevated, giving the elevation foundation says the elevation foundation generates 1 benevolent point every 5 turns, but the actual building tooltip says it generates one every 2 turns. So one of the two have a typo.
I love the game and have sunk too many hours into it. I am at a point where the AI is too predictable and exploitable for me due to my time investment. Is the AI still getting much attention and improvement? Is the upcoming expansion going to do anything major to the AI?
I don't have time yet to listen to audio. The word "diplomacy" isn't in this thread yet. Please tell me it is on Brad's devvy-do list.
I didn't hear anything regarding diplomacy, but Brad did say those mentioned are not all the features. They still not ready to talk in detail yet.
Cam across this interview on explorminate https://explorminate.net/2016/09/19/strategic-expanse-27-the-3rd-brad-wardell-interview/ Had some Galciv 3: Crusade info, thought Id share. - Might not be standalone, as aots standalone received some flak. Could be like mercenaries, require base game. - Major Economics Overall - Spys - In
