Now there is consensus that some players have trouble keeping track of metal/retroactive extractors on the larger maps. Simple UI fix. Just have a simple graphic in the metal/radioactive tab in game that is to the extent of "extractors built(and queued)/resource plots owned" For example, i have a few nodes that total 10 metal, and i only have 7 currently built and one queued. It would just display 8/10. Now the crucial part would be a simple button directly next

Video/screenshot? I would love to see that and I'm sure the Devs would too. ~football13tb
Frogboy can you make that information about the ranked mm accessible. Like in ranked mm window put a little message that says "ranked matches only take place with players of near equal rank... +/- 2 ranks " or something of that nature. ~ football13tb
That seems odd, the average 1v1 game time should last 20 minutes with the bulk of the fighting taking place between the 8-16 minute mark depending on the map. I have no issues/troubles/concerns with game speed at all. ~ football13tb
Gear I want you to know Ashes chose the WRONG resolution. I had to go in and change it to 1920x1080. And I will give the v-sync ain nvidia control try when I get home. ~football13tb
The_Gear my tv refresh rate is exactly 59.94hz. I use v-sync in every game I play and I have never had screen tearing. However, v-sync does not fix the problem in Ashes. As far as the TV I use a HDMI cord to transfer the image and sound to the TV. I can provide anything you ask while I try to figure this out. Also, ashes incorrectly chose my resolution and UI on beta 2. (Possible connection)? ~football13tb
Frogboy, beta 2 has not solved the screen tearing issue on my gtx 970 (dx11) as dx12 is unstable on my system. However, MSI afterburner fps limiter to 59 still can solve this issue. I believe with my little to no knowledge on this subject that the v-sync function is the culprit. ~football13tb
Native resolution is 1920x1080 and I am unable to raise UI scaling past 80%. At the current 80% it I have trouble even using the in game menus because my mouse is 2x the size of the individual menu items. Also, resolution is listed as (default) I don't know if the game has chosen the correct resolution and I don't know how to change it if it has chosen an incorrect one. Edit: The default menu item in the settings is grayed out, which is why I can not change o
Common multiplayer bug, multiplayer stability is still being worked on. ~football13tb
Thank you very much. Like I said above limiting the fps to 59through MSI afterburner seemed to solve the problem. Again, thanks for you knowledge on the subject. ~football13tb
Update. Setting a fps limiter to 59fps in MSI afterburner seems to have entirely fixed the screen tearing. I am curious why v-sync was unable to handle this problem though. ~football13tb
Okay, here are the results on DX11 at resolution of 1920*1080... V-sync enabled in game...Horizontal screen tearing. V-sync disabled in game... Horizontal screen tearing. V-sync disabled in game but enabled in nvidia control panel... Horizontal screen tearing. v-sync set to adaptive (30fps) in nvidia control panel... Horizontal and Vertical screen tearing, hard to see what image is trying to be displayed. Now as far as the limit of
I have a gtx 970 and i am getting bad screen tearing on any setting. (DX 11) as i cant get DX12 to run properly. I have v-sync enabled in game and in the nvidia control panel. I play on TV and use an HDMI cord. Edit: resolution is native 1920x1080 Is this screen tearing common? Or do i have a larger issue at hand? ~football13tb
Acehjm the numbers are technically correct. For example if you are -20 metal and -8 radioactives. But you have a total of 60 metal per second (requires 80 metal) and 16 radioactives per second (requires 24). What you will find is radioactives is your limiting factor in production causing metal to pile up. I hope this makes since to you and everyone else who thinks there is an error. If you are still on confused I can try to make a graph or excel go describe this phenomenon. ~foo
Just so you know memtest did not come up with any issues, and i was running 361.75 driver during both of the BSoD's Also, i have started a support ticket with Stardock to help track this error down. ~football13tb
I assure you if anything is the cause it is Ashes of the Singularity. My system has handled every memory/GPU/CPU benchmark just fine over the last three years. I also know my all of my drivers are up to date and my BIOS is up to date. I just want the developers at Ashes of the Singularity to know their game caused my only 2 BSoD's on my computer since i built it three years ago. What does KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED mean and why does it happen randomly when i play Ashes of the Singularity. I get a blue screen of death and then an instant restart. ~football13tb
I am a supporter of the current victory conditions, more so for ranked games. As far as custom games any player is free to do as they wish so i see no issue here at all. ~football13tb
My game turned a deep red, hurt to even look at the screen. UI/menus were unaffected.
Every time I unplug my headphones from the speaker out jack on my PC, the game crashes. Not that this matters but Star Wars Battlefront in beta had the exact same issue. ~football13tb
I can second PHC the exploding metal mining bug. It only occured in one game i played online against tictock. Keep in mind this big is a visual and very loud explosion but does not affect the mental extractor in any way. It is as if it just is using the wrong animation/noise at the moment it is done constructing. ~ football13tb
Frogboy why would you(the developers) risk splitting the community on what would appears to be a heavily multiplayer game, would it be more advisable to lose some sales by not allowing the game on gog but keeping the game alive longer by having a stronger SINGLE core online community? I as a gamer can not see how this is a good decision for the game and the community at a whole. At the very least it appears like a quick money grab. All in all, how does this benefit Ashes of the
Why yes it does Mercennarius, says so right on the Nvidia website.
50% of the time i try to launch Dx12 it becomes unresponsive during the initial loading screen. Another 10% of the time i get a blue screen of death and my desktop is forced to restart. BSOD error is kmode_exception_not_handled I also have trouble launching the game under Dx11, however much less frequent than Dx12 System specs. If i purchase Ashes of the Singularity through gog (25%off) and it is DRM free how exactly do i get the updates that would normally update through steam? Also, do all players whether on steam or another platform play in the same online community? I'm not exactly sure how that works either. Or if anyone has a reason NOT to buy on gog mention it below please! EDIT: If it is possible can i get an official response from a DEV on these two very important questions.
