One thing that helped me get through this hard was to wait on taking the turinium generator. It takes awhile for the enemy to completely cap this, so I don't even try for it until the enemy is past the halfway point in capping it. This let's you spend your early time and resources on capping nodes and building defenses around your base and get some quanta upgrades. Once you have enough qanta saved for at least 2 back to back incursions, then hit the turinium generator, drop

I was able to win by killing nexus, but the but is with the node closest to the enemy. The stream of dumb reinforcements actually end up capturing that node and there's no way to take it back. I ended up replaying it and then capturing the node in reverse starting closest to enemy and then working back towards my base.

Sounds great with the changes can't wait until I get home to fire it up and try it it out. Love the devs and team for the constant improvements and listening to the players for suggestions, ideas, and priorities.

Welcome to Ashes! I'm fairly new as well and agree with you on the lack of detailed info. There are a couple of user created basic guides I found on the Steam community that are helpful, as well as a mod created by Agent Orange that allows you to play the campaign as substrate that really helps get a basic handle on them. Overall this is still pretty new, and I haven't found a true detailed guide that explains each u

Really enjoying it so far. A few nice twists in order to account for sub tech units vs phc units (avatar vs incursion as example) changed the mission flow a but and required changing stategy, which was nice. Definitely will help people unfamiliar with substrate learn the basic capabilities and some strategy which only improves the new player curve if they play the singel player as phc and substrate they have a much better understanding of what to expect going into
