@ Frogboy- I do agree with you on the a 16 color image SHOULD look the same whetehr in the kernel or an external bitmap, but I do disagree with you on the image quality looking as good in bootskin as it does with patching. Some of the bootscreens that have been made by an author named "swissboy" are famous within the kernel patching programs, maybe he should be asked to develop a bootskin to see if he can get the same quality as the patching technique.

Question - Why does the bootscreens with Bootskin not look as good as the boot screens that patch the kernel? I have used other programs to change my bootscreen before and have liked how nice and clean the images look. Every bootskin I have tried using looks really bad in comparison. Can somebody elaborate?

I personally love this site and plan on purchasing a premium subscription before the end of the month (gotta do the Christmas shopping first, ya know ). Anyway to help the drive it would be, or would have been great, to have a new premium skin or even suite made to help motivate new subscribers. Just a thought.

Just go with the bootscreens scetion. If Microsoft has a problem with it then they will let you know. They are pretty good about warning a site first before taking any action. Or perhaps somebody from Wincustomize or Stardock could contact Microsoft just to see what they have to say over the issue and aks them what they think about sites that already have boot screen sections. No reason to kill the idea totally without doing the homework first.

I have purchased many of the premium suites that have been offered and have been very staisfied with them. However I feel that these 5 skins do not live up to the same quality and appeal as other suites. Granted the "Cardz" skin is very unique but the skin pack altogether just doesn't hit the mark for me to spend $8.95. There have been quite few free skins produced that are great skins such as the "Meltdown" skin whic is quite colorful and very well made. I am not trying to be negative

Checked out the skins and they are really nice. It really blows that these themes are limited to Nintendo consumers but it is even worse that it is limited to just Europe countries.

THis version is working quite fast on my system and I even have the skinned command prompt however I don't have skinned task panes. Is there some special setting for this that I am overlooking?

Windowblinds 4 (Droool!) When does the rest of the world get a chance to play around with the new toy? I purchased the Toon-XP suite and I like it a lot. But I have found out that people are leaking the premium suites over the internet on Kazaa which is very frustrating to the people who play fair and buy their software. And I am sure it is frustrating to the authors as well. Enough venting. GREAT SUITE!!!!
