I don't know about Firefox 29 coming out next Tuesday. Just for giggles I checked to see if Firefox had any updates and I was updated to 29 today. It didn't work with many of my add-ons so I uninstalled it and went back to 28.

OK, so in another thread here someone said we should not use DVD-RW or DVD-R discs to backup data. The reason being was because the discs can lose data over time. I have a problem with that statement. I have movies in DVD that i have had for 10+ years and they still play fine. So what's going on? And for the record I use a external hard drive for backup, LOL.

Google will give me a list of programs that make an ISO. I was looking for others opinions. Google can't do that. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
OK so what is the best program to use to make an ISO?
It's not bootable as an ISO is it?
So how would i go about transferring a Windows installation disc to a different media, say a USB stick?
My Android runs faster than any Windows phone I have used and it's not buggy. [quote who="the_Monk" reply="9" id="3460424"]Currently, there is no other such complete (and baked-in from the OS perspective) 'in sync' solution provided by any other device/software manufacturer. Datasense works on all of the past Verizon Windows 8 phones I owned in the last two years. Stir up the pot a bit - how would everyone feel if Microsoft shifted from a Windows OS on the Nokia to a Android OS?

Drill press. Drill three holes in it. :)
Lubuntu is Ubuntu with LXDE as a desktop environment. Light on resources.

Are you talking about yesterday or next week Doc?
Actually, I find the Windows UI to be annoying. The Android UI is much easier to use. But that's just my preference.
I'm going to have to disagree Starkers. W8 phones have a lot to be desired. Like the app store. Android has many, many more apps than Windows.
Thanks guys. :)

looking for a free backup solution. One click would be nice. I've been using Syncback, but that's becoming annoying to set up. Any suggestions?
I have Office 2007 installed, still, Windows Update reports no new updates.
Is this on Windows Update? Because I ran the update service and it says I am up to date. I have Word installed.

Interesting. Still, I'll avoid IE. Things I like to do in Firefox, foe example set a minimum font size, is a headache in IE. And I'll bet IE is still a malware magnet.
IE is better than Firefox? Thanks for the laugh. You can't even ad extensions in IE.
