i think it would be cool if they added alternate demensions/universes in the way warlock master of the arcane had extra worlds. i.e. portals on the map that lead to smaller maps with different characteristics. Even if its in a mod or DLC, but it's probably a feature big enough that it has to be planned ahead in the engine so i hope they put stuff like this in even if its just for modders. As for a multiverse, im pretty sure there is some form of multiplayer rankings

Naming something Darwinism won't be controversial at all!
-i like the hammers/beakers/coins. Even tho i will never use them instead of the number, i like a visual representation of how badass my planet is. -i agree that the grey background is clarity at the expense of immersion. could probably get used to it, but i like immersion. -i like the projcects devider, i think there should also be one for ships (such ast he transport in the picture). New and old improvements should also be seperate. (i vastly pr
my guess is that black holes will simply be inaccessible terrain, similar to mountains in civ5. The dotted line seen in the picture around the black hole would be the event horizon and be impassible. Possibly some races would have techs to decrease the event horizon or to allow them to fly into the event horizon without losing their ship immediately. It could also just be some debuff area similar to nubulae and dust clouds, but i think there should be some form of
Research specialization will be the closest you get to this in the game i think. Especially with the changes to it they mentioned. However you can always make those models and researches yourself and put it into a mod, id definately play that. But for the base game it's abit much.
Didn't they recently release the sins of a solar empire soundtrack as DLC? No reason they can't/wouldn't do that for this game after a few years. and DLC on steam is probably also the best way to reach the most people, seeing as 99% of the customers will probably never visit any forums/fansites etc. (as long as it doesn't count as one of the sheduled content dlcs :P)
I think the wheel is a good improvement, however, until the build times update as i adjust the setting it still needs work. the values update and the wealth updates, but the values on the right for my build que don't update until i add something else to the que or come back to the planet from changing screens.
i'm sure that will be put in at some point. That's a pretty standard feature i'
the more i think about it, the cooler the idea sounds, Nukar. i especially seem to be intrigued by the idea of using research points for random events, and then my researchers stumbling on some contained supervirus that they ofcourse accidentally set free and kill half the planet, instead of the precursor ship they thought it was from a distance.
A slider? Atm we have the 3way disc to divide. How will this be affected? I suspect that the ‘ slider’ will be a further detailed dividing of the production section as set on the disc If so will research and wealth get extra detailing to (please do ) Example: 2 researches parallel based on divided resources :type 1 as we know it know.; Type 2 &
Seems like the production square would not work. For instance how would you set it to 50% Social, 50% wealth, 0% research, 0% Military?
You could do that if you make it a tetrahedron, but that's going to be completely unintuitive for most people. My main point is, while the wheel is a pretty neat solution if theres 3 variables, it's rathe
maybe with 4 variables it has to become something like this or even... the production square: (or the production tetrahedron?) or maybe some pie chart that you can drag/adjust or something
In brad feedback 031014 they mention " the profitability dotted line" when talking about the wheel. So i think we can at least expect a line that indicates when a planet is paying for itself. I suppose a fillable field where you can enter a desired production amount, which would then pop up a line at which that amount of production is achieved, would be cool too. As im sure many people will find it hard to eyeball that on a wheel isntead of a slider. This would be
Can someone explain to me why not having a 64bit OS would prevent you from downloading the game? The game not starting or even installing i get, but not downloading?
Colony and troop ships must land and get filled / unload on a planet
That would add a bunch of micromanagement that isn't really needed. If planets can ship resources to the shipyard, why wouldn't they be able to ship people to the shipyard? Ofc then it would kinda suck for the people who get affected by the % distance penalty. :P &nb
Try restarting steam and running it as admin. Ussualy solves most steam issues for me.
Basically a idea i first saw in Warlock: Master of the Arcane, in this game, aside from the main map, there are several smaller maps/planes of existance connected to the main map by portals. These other maps could be vastly different, a desert world, a hellisch world, a world of constant war, etc. and often contained valuablue resources/treasures. This idea could be cool if translated to galciv: there could be portals/wormholes/anomalies on the map that would lead to po
