grayhaze, Sorry if I kept using the word flame. I did go back and re-read what Jafo had posted. Yeah, sorry there was no flaming involved. Sorry for accusing so much. I still stand by letting the original author warning the offender first though and one or two other things, but those aren't important. I have another class at 1:30. I'm going to leave now and I'll probably be gone for a while. I have lots of finals and I need to start studying for them. Thanks a

Suffice to say, if anyone uses my work in the same way, I will chase them down, and if necessary, I will sue them for breach of copyright. I have the financial resources to do so, and I would not lose the suit. The operative words here are "my works", mine, they belong to me, I created them, I will decide what happens to them, where they are posted, and what they are used for. Simple!. Quoting Boxxi Yeah, I agree with that Boxxi. It is your artwork, flame as you see fit. Da

No, children trialed as a juvenile go to prison too, you know. Nevermind, bad example. Shouldn't have used a life/death situation here. It's 8am. I've got to get ready and head to my class in an hour. I'll talk to you guys later.

Hey grayhaze, cut me some slack. I did say I didn't believe that far-fetched twisted thing Boxxi, I know all that. No, it's not right, and no one should stop fighting. I think I mentioned that in one of my posts. Thing is, there're too many factors that play into too many things. Should capital punishment have been used on a child who killed? Capital punishment is used on adults who killed. <

I do understand it. I only disagree with the tactics, and I enjoy knowing what certain actions will bring certain consequences. Now, the best way to know where people stand is to push them into telling me. I was hunting for a large part of opinions, risking getting exiled of course. Same crime, everyone has a different way of dealing with it.

One of which should be locked behind bars for moronic thinking and the other to be told gently that he committed a crime. Now, if you want to be really picky (and no, I don't believe in this) but the man stealing the car may just grab some friends and drool over the car still in the parking lot, as well as our culprit wallpaper stealer was drooling at it over with this friends over the internet... one never left the parking lot, the other didn't leave the internet. All right, s

paxx, What the guy did was wrong. I will not deny he did not commit a crime. I also believe in standing up for friends. I only wish I had people to stand up for me when I was being used left and right. Do I feel anger that these people stole from me? Yes, I do, but it's over and in the past now. Some of which I thought were childish. I learn from the lessons, and I'm sure whoever that child is probably still had to learn his lesson Dangeruss is an exceptionally good author. I'v

First an admin, now a journeyman. I'm started to see a similarity here between the ranks, well, between a few people anyways. Has my ideas and artwork been stolen before? Oh yeah, of course, in matters worse than this fight to take down an uploading of Dangeruss's work. Just think, my high school project back so many years ago in 9th grade... my ideas... taken from me by a student who claimed he wanted to help me make it better, sturdier... took it from me and earned himself a fancy lit

Nah, I think I checked on the website that unless I purchased it from the manufacturer, there is no free upgrade for me. I find that sort of unfair, you know? Oh well, should have waited, but I wanted to get off that ripped ps 6.0 as fast as I can. I don't know how to use it, don't want to use it, and probably will not use it anytime in the near future just yet.... at least, not until I

So if someone committed a crime, you take it upon yourself to be international police, along with everyone else who posted on that website, who has the right to tell people what to do and what not to do? You mentioned in your post about litigation if the wallpaper was not removed. Then later hinting that you also live in Australia... what to go after him? (That's my assumption, btw) Honestly, do you not think you went too far? It is a simple violation of theft, treated in the most mobis

kona, I'm probably too young to be telling you this... and I'm sure you already know. Let me remind you... Everyone has opinions. The only difference is some agree on a subject and others disagree, and there are those who feel indifferent either way and those who don't care and sit on the fence... We all can be "judged" different ways for what we say and think, that's normal. Don't be afraid to voice your opinions. There's no need to voice it over the msgboard if you don't want

Hmm.... I've trialed with a "ripped" version of PS6. I didn't like it, so I got rid of it and bought PSP 7 Anniversary edition back in January of this year. I'm using it for simple image viewing and editing and like how it's set up. However, PSP 8 is probably coming out soon. WinCustomize is selling PSP 7.00 for only 17.00... I bought it for 99.00 (my rebates haven't come in yet). It's a really good deal, so check it out if you're seriously debating it.

They didn't care about it, and yes, that may have been an offense to many of you (myself included), but it is their site, and it is their will to ban whom they don't like coming around harrassing their environment (even though to us, they broke the environemnt first). They may also believe they didn't do anything wrong. It is your responsibility and mine to explain with well phrased reasoning and example to why their actions are wrong. If they don't see uploading another artists' work f

My point, kona0197, is that not many people are willing to admit they use pirated software. I've stayed around enough to see many of the kazaa threads turned into "admin-dislike" threads. When a person has an impressive image of making great pieces of art, we, personally, do not like "damaging" that image with the use of pirates software. Sure, a site has to keep up their image of "purity" and "goodness." I'm pretty sure Frogboy doesn't want a lawsuit on his hands for pirated software u

Fair enough, I know that Journeyman rank and above get their work submitted automatically, and everyone else below that gets moderated.... Very well, not half the work, seeing that there are quite a large number of people I know here whom I trusted. However, all it takes is one (a couple for those harder to convince) piece of artwork out there made by pirated software to disarm any "we don't take warez kindly" argument... Takes only one false to make a entire statement false, I suppose.

No, of course you don't know who I am. That is the whole point. If I had status, then my points may have been too easily agreed with, wouldn't it? I'm sure Dangeruss is appreciative, but just because one author said thank you, it doesn't mean every author will. As for the pirated software comment, can you tell me that it is a guarantee that no one is using pirated software to make what the moderators allow through?

Admins can kick my butt all they want. I'm not looking for trouble, but I refuse to nod my head yes to them just because they're admins. Sometimes, the upper powers are wrong. But truth is truth. Truth doesn't bend just because one has admin powers and the other doesn't.

I agree, ripping is ripping. However, that guy didn't rip Dangeruss's art. He downloaded it from another website and uploaded it (for what reason we will never find out) for his friends to admire. He never claimed to have made it. Stealing is stealing, but many huge companies gained their popularity and members because their older members distributed either by word of mouth or some sort of an example. Introducing friends to this new cool "thing" you have discovered is such a bad thing?<

If I had downloaded some wallpaper from some site, and then I posted it up on my website to show my friends how impressed I was with what the artist did.... I'll end up with a bunch of holier-than-thou people screaming at me to take it down just because I was in some violation of copyright. Nevermind the fact that they never once emailed the main artist to ask him if he would present himself first and talk to the people who placed it up. No, all of you had to run head first into their l

Ahhh, thank you. I didn't realize those were links. That helps a lot. I've read the about section already, and partially the help section on the top. I just didn't find one for the message board, so just thought I should ask.
