Had a Fatal Call messagebox come up, the game (and map) was loaded. I ctrl esc'd, when I tried to go back in the game, got the Fatal Call message.

So do big planets really matter anymore? say 5 crappy planets have the same amount of usable tiles as 2 good ones. So do 5 crappy planets == 2 good? Only real benifit I see is that it takes less colony ships for the 2 good

How about an outpost ship and structure? Wouldn't be as big as a colony ship, but could let you 'claim' a planet by getting a tile on it. Of course we don't want people outpost rushing...

I don't think I was ever really attached to this ships... I was more attached to the class. I really enjoyed the ship designing of moo games... seeing how my designs fared etc... could just be me though.

I was just playing gc1 for the first time in a while. The 1st thing I noticed was the mad planet rush. I didn't really enjoy this, not sure if I'm the only one. I would like to feel less rushed. Am I alone here?

aphics created a great atmosphere. They wern't anything too special. For instance you could see the wake behind your ship, sometimes you'ld see dolphins jumping out in front. Just the little things that make it enjoyable.

One thing I always enjoyed about some strategy games was a hands off mode. where you can just let the AI's fight. Space Empires 4 allows your to create you own 'ai' empires (modding). They even have ai deathmatch competitions... http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=295019&page=4&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 Looks like alot of fun, and may allow for variety and more challenges to players.

as I recently learned, Multiplicity is really nothing like vnc/remote destop. It is not a remote system. It allows you to use the keyboard and mouse for all the systems (no video).
