Looks like it is back to the old days when we pirates had to sneak up on Euros and ambush them.
Yeah, good strategy that was and we of course use the same to get back to our rightful place: THE NUMBER ONE POSITION :HOT:
Freya
Basicly it is registering at our boards, requesting private access
OK, I have done that. My contribution to the total score of the empire is not (yet) very substantial, but I couldn't play much in the last months, also due to a conflict between Galciv and WinDVD 5. It seems to be resolved now, so......... :D
G-Force, I have rejoined the European Empire. Let me know if I have something to do besides registering (and becoming an active member, of course ;) ).
Cari, in WinDVD there are 5 .ax files. For the time being I have all renamed them.
tried it and now plays music on events etc. is there upposed to be music all the time though?
Yes, that should be the case. It works fine for me, now. So I don't know what the problem is at your side.
here's the first one..... got no music. all files are in correct place but nothing playing. just had first quiet event any ideas?
I had the same but saw the User Defined Playlist was set to ON. When I switched it to OFF the music plays again.
Cari, could my crash be caused by installing windvd 5? See #2 in this thread.
Perhaps I will contribute a bit to the goal and rejoin the empire. Arnor is a wonderful empire but they don't have the drive to become the # 1 in the universe ;)
If we look at the poll I'd say around 1,250 players say they will buy the pack. Brad said he would need 5,000 to make it break even. If we add the "maybe"to the score, it would be around 2,000 (potential) buyers. I think Brad has to announce he will go for the $20 expansion pack.
G-Force, I live in Amsterdam and I love Belgium. They know how to enjoy life: fantastic food, fabulous beers, very nice people
G-Force, besides these compliments to the Belgians in general I have to add a compliment for you in person: for the great empire site you made. Good job!
Normal-Bright level, not too small universes. Against as many as possible opponents. [Message Edited]
"All you need is love" - John Lennon
Yep, and some 10,000 songs more about love that you can quote as well.
:) I love mythology. It's true what you say, but in general Freya is considered the goddess of love. And what's more important in the world than love? Besides Galciv of course. LOL
Paguma, see # 7 in this thread. Seems your wishes are already fulfilled. Don't underestimate the fun of playing scenario's, though. It would be a great feature. And the map editor can enhance your pleasure in having random maps. [Message Edited]
G-Force, I live in Amsterdam and I love Belgium. They know how to enjoy life: fantastic food, fabulous beers, very nice people. Guess what I'm saying is I live in Holland but I'm not Dutch ;) Might be, G-Force, that I return. Let rest what happened in the past. I have had little time last months to play the game and when I started again I had some problems with computer shutdowns. It seems these problems have been resolved, so I can start once more to better my score.
I AM NOT FRENCH
Specially if he comes from the Flemish part in Belgium this would be a real insult. ;) :D
Can somebody explain to me why you choose "Maybe" and "Probably not" in the poll? "Maybe/Probably not" what? Maybe the price? No, it will be 20 bucks. Maybe if it is worth the 20 bucks? No, because you will only find out if you buy it. Maybe if somebody tells me it is good? No, because this will prove nothing. I would say this poll should have a maximum of 3 answers: YES, NO, DRENGIN MEMBER.
Yes, I know, but simple people like me dont want to mess with data files, I just prefer an option to do this in the game itself.
More major races (they announced two more, I would like to see a lot more), possibility to choose to fight them all or only some of them, possibility to create political parties, possibility to create new stars and planets, possibiity to actually influence the amount of stars and planets generated in a map, random game generator, scenario's, random scenario generator, more influence in the game with RPG factors (exploring space: what will you find on the next planet? If it is inhabited: the inha

G-Force, it will be a difficult task to determine who will gonna be a senator and for how long. How do you decide such a thing? From the start the idea was to have one senator per country. Like impune said: "to express the EU way of thinking". As you know at a certain stage some (at least: one, namely myself) was/were kicked out as senator without any obvious reason and without anybody EVER explaining WHY this occurred. Now, YOU being the EMPEROR (once more: :CONGRAT: you deserve it), you have
Could this also happen to the standard version of the game (US via Drengin?) See also bug report thread. Do you want to look at my saved game that causes a complete system shutdown?
BTW, I have the original Galciv version, not the German or other foreign language version. I'm a member of Drengin.
OK. I tried to start the last saved game that caused the system shut down. Smart Exception worked now and it says: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Windows XP Video Card : MOBILITY RADEON 7500 Application Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Crash Addr: 004F159F 01:000F059F C:\Program Files\Stardock\Drengin.net\galciv\galciv.exe Processor Registers (x86): EAX:00000002 EB
I had it once more. I happened just after an anomaly, something like discovering eggs and a beast trying to kill my explorer ship. Since the computer shut down (so no CTD) I have no smart exception log. HELP (:(
