Perhaps some forum moderators also... from what I've seen on the MOO3 fourm things can get downright stupid...I mean very stupid. AA

I don't think the current scenario was the original plan. MOO3 was supposed to become the emperor (now without clothes according to some) and GalCiv would play a background role and allow market space to grow over time. Things change in a dynamic world. I say this from the viewpoint that the "demo" was recently pulled from availability since it is nowhere near a complete representation of the current product - according to posts I've read, I absolutely believe that is the truth. Just an observation... based upon numerous other forums that I've linked to. Typically there is the standard "General Topic" followed by more specific "What do you want?", "Strategies", "Newbie Help" and so on. More often than not, most folks seem to ignore the categories and just post their questions within the General topic not realizing that they're making it harder to get their answer, in the end. And of course...without question...some form of "search" capability is almost demanded. <br
Is there an intention to develop some form of segmentation (hierarchy or whatever) to future forum queries/notations/pros/cons/hints/tutorials/etc etc? The current schema is going to get blown out of water in short order. Just asking... AA
Quote "On the easier levels it should be a nice, slow progression. The AI won't be able to do very much on the low end levels so it should be easy to get a hang of the game without being conquered. Though given enough time, they will conquer." I think that is exactly the right answer. While I'm not inexperienced in such games, I do need "breathing room" while I seek experience to answer the challenge. Well sure... I can drive a car... well here's the helm to a boat. ;) AA
I regretfully returned my copy of MOO3. I was going to go on about it, but this is neither the time nor place. I can handle a large download for GalCiv from the web... what about it? AA
What a damned good original idea! From a "good" player point of view. :)
Thanks all. I did take the advice and wander around a bit. And I do appreciate the relies to my message seeking the "elevator" story. All I can say is... WOO HOO to the product going GOLD. AA and yes, I tried to get a new login/password combination for the obvious incorrect spelling of "ancient". Was tired when I logged that initial request... ancient is nearer to the truth than I care to admit. Cheers!
Anyone care to give a short comparison between GalCiv and MOO2 (forget MOO3) or Starfleet Command. Would be appreciated. Thanks! AncientAge
