sorry to bother you guys... but at Virtualplastic.net I just found a new app that emulates the mac os dock... perfecty... alpha blending... and even the zoom effects... it's real interesting... not the lite step one... the one further down on the main page... called moby dock... yeah.. i have the same problem... it got me for like a year... ha ha ha... just right click on the download link and select save target as.... then just go to window blinds... or if you are running windows xp.... go to desktop properties.. then select add new skin... and apply it....

there is a setting under the advanced section of the windowblinds... where it always uses one specific taskbar no matter what skin you use...click properties on you desktop.. then the apperence tab on the top, after that select the advanced button, just under the windowblinds and effects buttons... on the top right of the window that pops up... it gives you the option I speak of... make sure it is disabled... I hope that settles your prob... if not... I suggest uninstalling window blinds... chec

I don't know if any one mentioned this, but I think there needs to be some way to re-color the part that used to be refered to as the web in windows xp. I am not a skinner... or much of an expert... but I always have those same problems when I use win styles... If I were you... If you mean that the shadow is gone from under your text...
