In the diplomatic screen when clicking on stats, the list of items on the lower right is way too big. There's are scroll arrows (up or down), however there isn't any scroll bar per se. So when you want to go back up, it takes forever. just a suggestion: include a scroll bar.
confirmation messages for colonizing a planet via left-clicking, AND destroying a colony (I mistakenly destroyed all my colonies, oops!)

think of it this way, if we play this game too much and lose our jobs, we could always become hat salesmen! ;p
ditto Peter Sly and LifeWish! In my experience, it adds tremendous value to the game! Not to do any advertising or anything (I'm not related to the company in any way shape or form), but Paradox (EU and EU2) were quite comparable in their involvement with the users as well as their community.
.... and to encourage great game development and supportive corporations!
man. and I was hoping for some "hot seat" patch! Oh well.... still looking forward to it!
Seems there's quite the international community here. So I'll ask - very informally - where do you reside? me, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

so, wait a minute, maybe I'm not getting this straigth. we're saying that you can win galciv through tons of other ways than by military might. However, the ai seems bent on attacking you if it sees a weakness (i.e. more planets than you, more production, etc.). is this accurate? If so, does that mean that the ai only considers military conquest as the way to win the game? Does it also try diplomacy, influence or all the other ways? I think I'm missing something, just can't quite get my

moo3 box (insert in the actual retail box)
In order to win in GalCiv, do you need to have a vast empire? I mean can you win by having a relatively small Empire that's well managed?
Jythier, you just had to do it when you got the first message. of course if you did it before hand it was a bit overwhelming, but if you did it as they happened, it was quite painless LOL
i gotta say, the insert in the moo3 box is what brought me here and now I'm totally sold on galciv (and returned my moo3 :) )
Turn-based, not rts 1. moo2 2. eu2 (i know, not really turn-based, but closer to turn based than rts) 3. homm3 (4 sucks! it's the moo3 syndrome) 4. civ3 I hope to be putting galciv in #1 soon
COOL!!! thanks guys. Brings me back though (Now I feel old ;) )
Starflight! Wow that was an awesome game! so deep! Commerce, diplomacy, war, mysteries, etc. I wish someone would try to do another version with today's graphics and processing power. Brad, want a challenge? ;)
