Listen to yourselves... Hackers braking in to your computer to steal a beta? No, face the facts, someone spread the latest version. My guess? 1)has gamesdomain/gamespot/.. recieved a copy to review? 2)someone who works with the distributor let it leak... Anyway, that doesn't really matter, cause if they wouldn't have spread it, it would have been available the 27th on the IRC channels... The only thing you can hope for is that people who downloaded the game non-legitimate l
but I guess you wouldn't be in control of the new party...
I loved BOTF so much I wanted to program something like that myself, so I joined those guys who were trying to make botf2, but that was not my style, they said : de-assembly botf... I mean no-offense but I want to write a sequel, not fumble with code you can't read, and then struggle with it for two years for what... to adjust a few settings? no thanx. But I want to write a turn-based strategy starting this summer (it probably isn't going to be as good as this one but hey, we'll have at least so
OH BUBBAH ...
DAMN :sniff!: thanx man, if you ever need a dutch translation, I'm your man... I don't know if I'm gonna change everything now, I mean hotmail accounts, login names, ... pfff I'll gues I'll leave it this way... then I'm sure it's unique (since nobody else would be this dumb) and I'll just hope I don't encounter lot's of Swedish guys. See you in the metaverse Nidaros...
that sucks he, BOTF was so much fun to play, especially because of the races acted like they do in the series, I mean you just can't bomb a planet when you're playing federation side, without your people nagging about it. I even found this game by searching for a substitute for BOTF. Cause it wasn't perfect : the AI of the smaller races ::: really bad. And after a few months I wanted more possibilities to microtune my star systems... I really really hope that there will be a star trek mod :D
with nordic I meant Norwegian, damn my bad. I've tried to translate si vlar dem alle myself but the verbs aren't that easy without any help. Maybe I should point out that there should be some strange signs on vlar, I mean above the a there are two cirkels (I don't know how you call them in English). and Freya, I live near Aarschot...
who wants a star trek mod? I do... :D :D :D :CONGRAT: :D :D :D
I meant "or some other company" not country DUH dumb dumb dumber
ok one measily little question: in some cases you say: "Users will have the option to have it shipped to them which will cost $5 in the USA or $10 overseas. by Avatar Frogboy" but sometimes you say (check the link you posted) "It will be $44.95 plus $5 shipping if you live in North America, or $10 shipping elsewhere." So my question : do we have the choice? cause in my case I don't need no cd wich I will never use ... so I don't want to pay 10$ extra ...
and in belgium we are all obligated to learn dutch (native language), french (from the age of 10) and english (from the age of 13), we can also take german lessons if we are interrested in languages. So here it's normal you speak at least 3 languages. For myself I took spanish and C/C++ as an extra ;) ps a euro dollar doesn't exists, it's a euro...
ok so we have anagreement. The main server in belgium, a small server in Sweden. ps Nidaros, I took this nickname a year ago because someone said it meant "We shall slaughter them all", but I can't remember if it was swedisch or danisch. Can you tell me? And can you give the translation in nordic too? thanx a lot.
cause we have germany en holland in the east, france in the west, and england in the north, all neighbours who will bye galciv (I hope)
ok west-europe then... but we will be the center of the most profitable(correct?) sector for galactic civilisations in Europe. :D
a)but if we buy it from let's say amazon, do they send you the serial directly by e-mail? b)do we have the option to only buy the serial?, I don't want to give 10$ for a cd wich I will never use (cause I can burn the cd myself)
maybe a european server? If you place it in belgium, you will be in the center of europe (and I will have 500 kb/s :D:D:D) If you hurry you can stil make it happen :>
I hope you give more bandwith on the 26th cause I only get 36.9kb/s ;)
was googling on BOTF when I saw something of an new upcoming title with great AI ...
I would like to say that I love random events, BUT ... I don't like bad events when the game is in his early stages. I hope you agree with me that you don't want your first warship/colony ship (that you've worked on a zillion turns) to disappear because of a random event.

belongs with number 6 :: though if you stay to long in that orbit your hp will go below zero and that ship will explode
1.you find a transmission interception device, wich let's you a)block a particular race from contacting other races, or in a particular size of the galaxy all communication (except yours stops) for X turns (perfect for an attack if your enemy has an ally) b)let's you listen to other civ's so each turn you get some info on another civ (info that has been sent from one of their planets to another(also research data)) untill the machine suddenly stops working 2.you can have a race
I love turn-based space strategy games like BOTF. And I'm very glad that the AI is so great, but ... I would really enjoy playing this with a friend. Now you are saying that everyone voted for no mp and better AI. ok but I really can't understand why you can't do both, it's not like you have to do more if you add mp, you're CPU would just have less to do. And implementing mp isn't that hard either, even if the game drops out somethimes, you can (like botf does) implement a auto-save functio
