I'll have to keep that in mind arobertson. I just scored an anomalous score this afternoon. I followed basicly an old version of the guide explained on the G.R.O.S.S. thread about post 300 or so. I had over 10K in the bank at the end of the game. No mods, not even all the way through the tech tree. Someone said that I could resubmit a score 2 times. Is it possible to reload at turn before the win and gift all my money to the player and then resubmit? Any suggestions? If not, someone will

I just got an anomalous score with a vanilla 1.05. No mods or anything. I did have about 10K in cash at the end though. But it was because I made such good trade deals with the computers I was getting about 1000/turn off the research trades. Had all 7 players giving between 100 and 250/turn * 20+ turns. I was raking it in faster than I could spend it. I need this score fixed or someone will have to walk the plank. B

All right now, someone has to walk the plank. I posted a score this afternoon and it was anomolous. It was the exact same set up as all the rest of them. No mods or anything. Plus the score when viewed at game end was lower than the scores I had been getting. What's up with that. I can email the saved file if anyone wants to verify that it's legit. I want my score corrected. B

Gerakken, Is there a way you can use your statistics to show us how the scores range in each of these levels(assumeing 1.05 of course). So, for example, if I can consistantly score 6k as a beginner that equates to a 8k at normal and 10.5k as a challenging, etc. I know a lot depends on things like techs researched and so on, but a nice range would suffice. The GSS KFD has docked for the work day. I'll start another one tomorrow here at work. Tonight, I'll consider moving up in difficulty. Is there any difference in the strategy employed between beginner and normal? Right now here is the strategy I am using: #1. Rush to all good planets available. #2. Rush to all the resources. #3. Research a few levels of tech and attempt to bankrupt the AIs so I can get as many of the trade goods and wonders. #4. Once they are bankrupt, b

To the devs: 5 wins and 20 wins game medals are fine, as are 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000. But the 5 games > 1000 medal is meaningless as are the 10 games at 3000. With the new scoring model, these can be achieved on cakewalk. 1st, 2nd, 3rd are fine. top 10, 25, and 50 are fine. How about a former 1st place medal so that once achieved, it'll stay on your record even if you're forced out or the scoring model changes, etc. Comments?? B

The only thing I saw on this was a post a couple of versions ago and the suggestion then was to just copy the save game file just before you win to your home pc and then win it there. It'd be great if BlackSmoke or someone else who has done this can confirm this for me. I did use the same ser# and login info. thanks, B

Also, I'm going to play one or two more at this level and then advance to the next skill level. Can anyone tell me what to watch out for. It probably won't be a problem, because I win at this level pretty handily, but I'm sure the strategy will gradually change. Any hints for my crew? We take off in about 8 hours. B
