Stofsk, In addition, there could just be a fleet premium to the maintenance costs. This could be an additional percentage of the maintenance costs as a function of how many fleets you have. So if you have 6 ships with the following maintenance costs: 2, 3, 3, 2, 5, 5 = 20 total maintanence cost Putting them in a fleet would add say 10% making the maintanence cost 22. Make the number of fleets relevant like: (fleet cost = n * 10%) Add a second fleet

Just using a terror star would instantly make your morality 0. You are not just killing those evil Drengin but the planet itself. Also, there should be a death star like animation to this(which could be skipped if you like). Perhaps a tech could be invented to have a type of ship that has a small chance of destroying a terror star if it attacks. UP Events where you can kick someone out if their alignment is too low. Chain this to an event 2-5 years down the line to allow player to b
This has probably been mentioned before, but how about the ability to load/save governor queues. My queue is mostly the same in every game and it'd be nice to not have to wait until I had the tech to fill it in. If I havn't researched a tech yet, skip it and move to the next item in the queue. B
Andreas, you're correct about the social projects picking up where you left off. It is, however, inconsistant with what the military queue does. It just applies the production points to whatever you choose. So after the colony rush I place all my military items on constructors, but if I need a frigate, I just change to it and it applies all those points. You'd think they'd handle it one way or the other for BOTH. B

I was wondering about that Ray. Thanks for the answer. B
I'm using it at work and at home now, so you're good at least to two copies. B
Well EBZ from my empire can win a game in under 30 minutes. Check out the GCCG thread. In it there is a link to a website that will show you how to crank out games that will give you about 10-12k scores. I personally can only win one in about 1.5 hours. EBZ mentioned above wrote the GCCG and even if you don't use it, it might contain some strategies that you can employ. B
Has anyone seen this bug? How can an AI who has a -9800 bank be able to tribute to me 30/4 turns as a bribe. For that matter, I've also seen it happen where ALL races major and minor are bankrupt (-3k or more) with hardly a ship besides their survey ship be able to come up with transports and freighters? I had one AI that was -6800 in the bank with one planet remaining. He had a population of about 1.6B and he somehow came up with 1 transport/turn for the next 6 turns and he used them to dump 1/
Has anyone seen this error? If so does anyone know if it'll be fixed in the upcoming 1.1? When you are on the trade screen scroll down a bit in your techs and then click to select them as trade items. Do it fast a few times and the scrollbar disappears and you can't get back to the items above until you remove enough items from the trade window to trigger a scrollbar.
Have her create an account at galciv.com and then at the end of the game use a different login account before you click submit. Give it a try, it might work. B
Taxes paid today all. Two subs from work. B
Oops, those rank numbers are sorted by Evil. Sorry. B
And #71 President Beeblebrox says: 7 games 19517, but he has 18 games submitted. B
Sometimes it doesn't count the number of games properly. Look at MrPibb as an example. He's played 3 games with the following scores: Simple, Large: 6515 Normal, Huge: 17450 Masochistic, Huge: 19490 On the player rank page he's listed as: Rank: #72 Games played: 1 Score: 19490 What gives here?
If you play with it for just a minute or so you should be able to replicate it. I didn't notice it on the governor's screen, but then again after I build the first 7-8 items in the a certain order, I just dump the rest in. B

I have yet to get through the tech tree. I got pretty far once or twice. B I usually am evil again pure evil. Maybe that's why I'm chaotic evil. :D
It is kinda hard to crank though when you have to constantly be looking over your shoulder at work. B
I'm now the diet coke of evil. Just one calorie, not evil enough. I'm aiming for you FriendJosh. B
Wohoo, top 100 on the evil list! B
EBZ, A question about your guide. You mention that you ctrl-N to get a good starting position. I have done that a time or two as well to get nice planets nearby. My question revolves around whether it is perhaps also good to get a center of the universe starting position? I have in the past been trying to get at least 1-2 uninhabited yellows near a corner or at least on an edge. But, thinking about things, if I take a center starting position, I'll encounter the others faster(perha
Those +49% PQ bonuses are soooo nice though. B
Yes, I know we won Pontius. But if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards. Let's challenge them and do it again. What do you say? B
