I think I might try a Tiny/Maso/Common game tonight. Can I get an idea for a good govt and abilities pick? Also some always dos and don'ts. And yes i've read the whole thread, but I was hoping for a little more. Thanks all, B

Ray, the island wasn't my idea, just the two groups. And I hate survivor. I just meant that there could be two independant groups working on different quests that might intersect and it could be up the the group to interfere with the others. They wouldn't have to of course. I would like to join up though. B [Message Edited]
And now it's time to join an empire. Join the pirates of G.R.O.S.S.(Get Rid Of Slimy alienS). When you do, i'll buy the first round and even give you a twenty piece box of Kentucky Fried Drengin. It comes in a variety of styles and sauces, but we especially the BBQ, Buffalo, Honey Mustard, original recipe, and everyone's favorite, extra crispy. I'll even throw in a Yor Smart Toaster(t). It comes from MicroElectric a merger of General Electric and Microsoft. B
Wow, He'd starve if I wasn't vigilant. B
Threadzilla, poor boy. You need fed. Here ya go. Have some nice Drengin. B
Ouch, sorry about the double post. Ouch, sorry about the double post. B
I'd like to lurk. BTW, if you had the time to make it really interresting, having two groups working against one another either in competition or perhaps even as antagonists. A group of "good" explorers trying to finish the noble quest, a group of bad guys either trying to prevent it OR trying to finish an evil quest and to both paths intersect somehow. Oh well, maybe i'm just ranting. B

Ray and Lothmorg, The slider only works to 50. However, you can type in any amount you want on the months line to extend it out as far as you want. Unfortunately, you can't do this with the bc line. The max IS max cash and if max cash is negative, you can't do a cash monetory trade. B
So when you trade a trade good, you're actually leasing it. You still own it for purposes of score, but you're leasing out the rights to the stat bonuses. B
Couslee, If you want the planet list to update more often, click it again. Click it once to bring it up and click it a second time to update it. Hope that helps. B
Can you "lease" trade goods to more than one race? I've never leased any of them but I'm still playing at the lower levels. B
Killa, I can get any of the AIs to trade techs for planets after awhile. Once, I got 3 systems for a set of techs. Thanks for the kudos too. B
I agree with vincible. It happens to me every time I get a significant increase. A small increase in MHPs doesn't always indicate damage. B
I agree that they should up the movement of a terror star. Perhaps that could be through tech advancement(or a series of SB modules each increasing it by 1 movement point[at least there would be some cost involved in making it more useful.]). Using a terror star ought to be a morality issue though. BTW, can a terror star attack a ship? I've never tried. B
Oh, I was looking at page 1. Oh well. Ray, contact me for the next one. B
I'll play if there is any more room. B
Of course, I didn't build ANY influence trade goods or wonders until I finished the tech tree. That probably helped. Oh and to get the Yor off my back I eventually traded their best planet for a bunch of tech. A 15 billion pop planet. That took the wind out of their sails a bit. B
Wow, that did make a bit of difference in the score. I got 13490 for all subnormal except Yor which were normal. Now, I did get the last two techs which I've never gotten to before, so I'm sure that that accounts for some points and since I had the extra 30 or so turns to get to the final tech, I got some extra pop. So I guess, I have no idea if it made any difference, oh well. I guess I'll just have to add the Drengin in at normal and restart. I did notice a significant difference in how o
Thanks bud. I've started a game with the Yor +1 level of difficulty. My next one will have the Yor and one of the two you mention, probably Drengin. BTW, since you don't set the level of the minors, do I assume it takes the average difficulty(beginner, normal, ...etc.)? B
That's good to know. I wanted to slowly turn up the difficulty. Who would be the 2nd race to raise? B
I probably won't get another one in today, but I might get one started. My plan is to GCCG to the top 25 and then start doing larger harder boards. I do have a question for ya captain. It takes about 3 movements in difficulty to go to the next difficulty level. If I were to make 2 movements(ie, increase two AIs to the next difficulty level) and it still stays at Beginner is there still an internal difficulty level that changes(ie Cakewalk = 1, easy = 2, simple = 3, beginner = 4, etc.... Taxes paid. Up to 133. Closing on top 100. Hey boss, I found a way to use Arcean brain fluid extract to get more power out of my antimatter engines. B
Here zilla, I'll feed ya. B
Welcome matey, Here are a few tips that will work through at least beginner, but the principals will last you through any level. First let me credit EBZeroMatrix for some of these ideas. At the first turn: 1. Set your Spending at 100% and your taxes at 50%. Leave it here the whole game if possible. On Simple or Beginner this won't be a problem. 2. Send your colony ship to any 15+ planet. Have it produce 1 scout, then switch to colony production. Have your
