#6 by Citizen PJ_ Here's what I did: 1) Go to Link and get your SN emailed to you. 2) Copy the GalCiv2 SN from the email (it was different from the one I already had) and paste it into the serial number box 3) Download new ship components and desktop theme This did not and still doesn't work for me.

by Avatar T-Man: Those who have purchased from Stardock can use their Serial number to get the goodies. Sorry but the Galciv2 AI has & is continuing to blendor my grey matter; a bit of clarification please. Many of us who preordered were given a temp serial number to use until our game box arrives. We used the temp seria
A voice in crescendo, echoes, resounds, the Emperor has awaken; speaks: In the depths of slumber did we plot, long did we plan, we wait no more, now it begins... Galactic Conquest shall be mine, all will fall beneath the heel of oppression... What's that sweetie... but but okay just as soon as I take out the garbage... The sweet one aside, thanks Team Stardock & congrats!
Sigh, My apologies for the messy post above.. I wrote the post in html and then cut and pasted it into this forum. I see now that's a no no :notsure: I attempted to edit it but obviously missed a few things. The option to edit a second time doesn,t seem to exist. I know Frogboy just gave us all these new posting options but I wonder if we might prevail on him to provide a preview post option ;) Then again I think he's done enough for a while :)
I guess I should check the treads I post in more frequently ;) Ralegh, Thank you for that excellent Stanford University link, I've found it extremely useful :)
Wow. I honestly didn't expect this many replies. It's definitely good to know that I'm not alone here, though.
Zelqadas, you're definitely not alone ;) In fact if this post stayed on the front page long enough I think you might be suprised how large it would grow lol. I suffer from color vision deficiency as well. While not completely colorblind I have great difficulty distinguishing between subtle shades of various colors. I've experienced most of the issues others mentioned above but it hasn't stopped me from playing yet. It gets a bit frustrating at times but the games just to good :) CariElf Adobe Photoshope actually makes a filter which will allow designers/developers to simulate various types of colorblindness people suffer

Regarding SDC Registration: The very first time I installed Stardock Central (v5)and ran the program, up popped the registration screen. I filled in all the requested information logged in, registered Galactic Civilizations, and updated the game. For specific security reasons I will not leave Stardock Central installed on my system. After performing the above I simply restored my C drive with a Drive Image made previous to installing Stardock thus ensuring all traces of it were
Well what do you know they did get it out 8) I stand humbly corrected, told you I was showing my age ;) Thanks very much for the info, I should have known this. It's missing from my collection. I'll find it... I still have an old 286, 386 and a 486 around just to play some of my old favorites. Ooops... slight correction regarding this statement: So whats Steve Barcia up to these days? Well he can be found at Retro Studios, http://www.retrostudios.com/retro.htm in Austin Texas, which Nintendo helped to fund in March of 1999. He just recently finished up Metroid Prime for the Nintendo. http://www.gamepro.com/index.html?/nintendo/gamecube/games/news/27167.shtml Steve is no longer with Retro Studios: http://www.gamepro.com/index.html?/gamepro/domes
Not that I want to show my age or anything, but here are a few facts with regard to the MoM and MTG comments in this thread. Magic the Gathering, created by Richard Garfield, came out in summer 1993. In fact there is a Global Event slated for July 26-27/2003 to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its creation. If you would like to know more about this you can visit this page, http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/arcana/324 Richard however played Magic the Gathering du
I purchased Galactic Civilizations online. I downloaded the 465meg zip file, extracted and installed the game. A CD is being shipped to me. Next I downloaded and installed the Stardock Central Application. After much frustration I managed to get it setup and to the point I can see and download the updates. As of April 6/2003 5:10am EST I see the following updates in the order listed below: Name Installed Available Updated Galactic Civilizations 1.0.003
