Shortly after developing our interstellar capabilities, the Federation was pleasantly suprised to encounter 4 yellow class star systems within our own sector. That's what I'm guessing. Must be the pirate version. Mine crashes every once in a while when I leave the diplomatic screen but that is a known issue and I think the patch fixes it. I'm gonna download the patch tonight when I get home from work. But other than that, I find GalCiv to be extremely stable. Good job guys! ~SDC~

To #31 I hope GalCiv never develops a Tactical Combat mode or Ship Design. Or if it does, I hope there is an option to turn them off. I've always found those two components to be a bit boring. When playing MOO2, I always had them turned off. ~SDC~

Can I download the March 30th patch by itself? I checked Drengin.net and all I could see was the entire game (including the patch) available. Do I have to download the game again? ~SDC~

When MOO2 got reviewed on Gamespot, it received an overall score of 8.7. The GalCiv review came out today and it got an 8.4. The scores are not that far apart. But, ultimately, it's up to personal preference. And remember, a demo will be coming out shortly so u can try before u buy. Personally, I love this game and would recommend it to any fan of 4X Space Strategy games. But that's just my opinion. Some people liked MOO3. I didn't. So, it all comes down to personal tastes.

Can anyone give me some info on how to MOD, which files I can MOD, and what application I should MOD in? Thanks. I love the game how it is but it would be nice to be able to do something constructive while I'm at work LOL ~SDC~
