You will have to go to www.wincustomize.com. Enter in your name and password, and you can change your nick from there. ~SDC~

I'm interested in this as well. I'm installing Linux on my home pc tonight but I'm doing a dull boot install because some of my fav games don't work so well with Linux (or so I've heard). ~SDC~

You need to have the Alliance Tech (I think it comes after Sensors). You also need to have a close relationship with another race. Once your relationship moves from "Friendly" to "Close", you can contact them and Alliance will be available. ~SDC~

I was in the same boat Twisti. I travel during the week on business and am only home on the weekends. I installed Galciv on both my laptop and my home computer and have been able to update each using stardock to get the most recent patches. Haven't gotten any complaints about it yet. I install very few games on my laptop but I had to put this one on there. I couldn't handle not being able to play it during the week. I'm addicted. ~SDC~

I've never seen the AI build a non-resource based starbase. I only build on reasources if they are in my sector or a sector I plan to control very soon :) ~SDC~
