For a comment to be 'political' it has to reference a person's political bent..
So I am free to say, with an emphasis on his character not his politics, the President is a schlub looking to create some kind of positive legacy by any means possible, including devastating the U.S. economy so that we can reduce the projected global temperature 0.02 degrees over the next century. And if he succeeds, he and his friends are poised to become filthy rich(er), cause
If I said anything like this about the President, would that be a violation of the politics rules? Or are we just making an exception because it is Trump? I know he's an easy target but his perspective has no affect on the science that backs up either side. I'm sure he believes man landed on the moon too.
We've had the DX12 version of the game and the benchmark for 6 weeks now, and we are all well aware of the decreased performance on nVidia cards. So what is the progress on this situation? I'm not aware of anything coming from nVidia on addressing the issue, nor have we heard any word from Oxide on any changes with the engine. I've read a few articles with he said, she said and technical mumbojumbo. What I want to know is, will it get better without having to buy a new card? When?

Well, Climate Chaos is now upon us, as predicted by the French foreign minister in 2014. We failed to act sufficiently, and now we are doomed. DOOOOOOOOOMED! http://countdowntoclimatechangechaos.com/
You have until the game goes early access, which at last recollection was tentatively scheduled for October.
Is there a T3 assault unit? I see a T3 killer, a T3 long range arty, and a T3 defensive unit. When you say X is good against Y, is that purely stat-based or are there damage/defense bonuses against particular units? Which unit(s) have radar? I count 3 T1s, 4 T2s, and 3 T3s, which would be two fewer unit types (I think). Energizer? In larger battles, most T1 units will be brutes and archers. Is that enough variety? Can we make sure the brutes and Zeus mo
Lazy? You know this is alpha, right? Let them work on gameplay fundamentals, then they can tweak the UI to satisfy the QQs.
Well keep up the good work. The normal AI is a good challenge.
Well "base" means bottom, but I realize that's not your point. It seems you agree this is all just about the names of difficulty levels. Maybe you want to change name of normal to be "hard" because you find it hard at that level. If normal is the strongest AI without cheating, that leaves beginner, cake-walk, easy, intelligent then normal. After that is challenging, tough, hard, and very hard. The game handicaps the AI below normal and cheats for the AI above normal. There's your step
You are essentially asking the devs to rename the difficulty levels solely for the purpose of allowing people to feel better about themselves. Renaming difficulty is not a big deal to me one way or another, but we don't need to pretend doing so makes the game easier for new players...it's just a naming convention. Is it so hard for a new player to play on beginner or easy, and then move up to normal after they improve? Is it important for experienced players feel better if they can be
According to the patch notes (you read them, right) research is currently disabled while they are working on the next iteration of the research system.
I agree it got buffed. The notes say the AI has access to units/buildings that were locked before, so that might be the difference. Maybe not. As for toning it down, make the non-cheating AI as strong as possible. If the AI is too hard to beat at that level, then we should be playing at an easier level. I do agree that it may be necessary to rescale how much the AI cheats as the AI gets stronger. Is that what you are saying?
I've played a couple single-player games now in 0.51. Here is my feedback. Performance (i5-2500K, nVidia GTX 770, 8 gigs, Win 10 x64) - It took 10 tries, I counted, to get the game to not freeze or crash while initializing, both DX11 and DX12. On the 10th try I got to play a match in DX11. I still have not gotten the DX12 version to not crash. I wonder if memory has something to do with it. I have 8 gigs and there were times during initialization that task manager was repo
Can't wait to try it!
I lik this post because I agree with it. I'd love to see cool behaviors from units in battle groups so that group composition differences really stand out.
Really what I don't understand it's why it's such an issue to you that we have the compromise that I suggested earlier
That's an illogical inference. I fear you are prone to those. Of course I don't care if there is the option to use either method, nor do I care at this point if they scrap one method in favor of another. The space bar is not bad, is all I'm trying to sa
I get it. Many of you want what you had in "the other game" because it works and it is comfortable. Tell me, do you use control groups? Do you use attack-move? Do you set patrols? Do you use any hotkeys? Full honesty time. Most of us use a keyboard when playing RTSs, so hitting space bar to bring up the strategic view is not the end of the world.
I knew the "I don't have mouse buttons to bind" post was coming. So use a keyboard, problem solved.
I didn't think the AI on beginner was that fast, but I'll take your word for it. To get a feel for pacing, I recommend you try the following: 1. Tell your seed to start building one engineer. 2. Tell your first engineer to build your base's metal extractors. Use shift to queue orders for it. 3. When the engineer you built comes out, have it make a factory. 4. When the factory is done, have it build say 8 scout groups. 5. Every pair of scout
Remap one of your gaming mouse's buttons to space, problem solved.
I, for one, am intrigued by the "space bar" method, can't wait to see it next week. I already have my Logitech G13 ready to go with hotkeys, and I can actually see the space bar being faster. Zoom in to an area to keep an eye on a battle, then to get the map view hit one key, then to go back hit the key again (or let it go, depends upon implementation). Seems quicker. Plus if I need to, I can map a mouse button to space bar. Also, eating pizza while gaming will make you fat. Trust
