Between rising demand, lack of new supply and the never-ending search for new ways to raise tax monies, your gas prices will soon look like ours do now. I ride my bicycle to work...

Good question. But I think your "friend" would turn on you long before the issue became relevant. Perhaps you could do it by sponsoring 2 or more minors and manipulating them against each other as well as the majors. Could be an interesting game. Let us know how it works out.

Ono, your ideas are good. In fact there have been enough good ideas posted in this forum to last Brad & co. up to about Galactic Civilisations 7! But they are only a small team and there's only so much that they can do with the resources they have available. They can't put in even a tiny fraction of the feature requests that have been posted in here. There's also the problem of game balance. There are lots of nifty ideas I have seen that would be so cool to have in the g

It just makes sense, Does it make sense that you can fit larger and better fire-control and predictive analysis computers on a bigger ship...?

I think you're being a bit naive if you expect them to be E450 at launch. Plus Sony still dont' seem to have so much as a working demo model...

I build economic starbases wherever I can cover 3 or more planets with them (or 2 if they're both good ones). And always one to cover my home plaent to boost up the trade income.

I go to considerable effort to have as small a list of ship-types as possible. I usually have 1-2 types of constructor, a freighter class, and 1 each of small, medium and large military hulls which are as technologically advanced as possible. The "upgrade all ships of this type" option is my friend!

Erm, what do you think the missile weapons are? If a warhead with a black hole in it does 16 points of damage, then even 3 or 4 points would equal a multi-megatonne explosion.

This boosted their ships so much that they were able to survive. One of my favourite tactics. Much better than trying to give them state-of-the-art warships.

That seems like a reasonable possibility, but I think you'd have to demonstrate that enough people would want it, and there would have to be quite a few thousand to make it pay. We're told that >100,000 copies of the game have been sold. If we optimistically assume that half of them are still being played regularly, then around 20% of the gaming population would have to be prepared to stump up the $10-20 required with no gauruntee of receiving anything. That's a pretty high proportion! <br

I'd quite like a fade from green to red. If it's fully green you definately get a deal, if it's fully red, you'll never get a deal. In between, the chance of getting a deal depends on how close you are to the fully green side. If you make a failed deal, you can't make another offer until the next turn. That would mean that if you definately wanted a deal, you'd have

And you can go back to whining until you get the special treatment you like and insulting people who give you answers you don't like. People don't get flamed for asking about multiplayer. They do get flamed for refusing to accept that a decision has been made, for insulting the skills and intelligence of those who made the decision, and for just not accepting that they're not going to get their own way. I noticed that you made no response to my suggestion on #34.

Then the Korx, they had some of the most powerful ships I have ever seen in GalCiv2. I am talking 50+ attack rating and 30+ shields! Um, by the time you're thinking about tech victory, you should have maxed out at least one weapon tech. A huge ship should be able to mount 6 or 7 black-hole disruptors or doom rays easily. After bonuses, it's not
