Hi, sdRohan. Thanks for the quick response. Ya, sorry, I always forget to mention I am not using any WIFI... It's all hard-wired via Ethernet cables. I guess I can try reinstalling, but as I said, it's working great for 80%(?) of the software... and even within those 'problem' software, the mouse is working in most aspects. For example, most of my games (on a secondary) are working just fine... including ones that have situations (ex. camera orbiting via mouse mo

Hi. Multiplicity has been working for me (aside from some previously mentioned oddities, like the bogus 'Password Invalid' alert), but I have run into some issues specific to certain software that I'm hoping to get some help with: -Modo (3D modeling/animation): When controlled via Multiplicity, the mouse movement acts very odd... Buttons work, and the movement (as far as moving the mouse around the interface) works fine, too. However, if I try and do something like d
Hi. I had posted about this in my own thread, but wanted to add my voice to the group in this thread. Every once in a while (month or so?), Multiplicity suddenly claims the passcode is incorrect, and won't accept it, regardless of what you try. It's obviously a bogus error alert, as the passcode hasn't changed (and, ultimately, the software will suddenly operate without any protest, as if nothing happened). For me, I think I usually solve it by rebooting, or just w
Ya, I always use direct ethernet, not wifi. Got it sorted out, like I said. I do find that sometimes Multiplicity windows seem to disappear (not visible on desktop, and no minimized icon on taskbar), and can only be brought back via Task Manager. I had one odd error window pop up one time, as well. I took a screengrab, and will have to post that here sometime.
I think I got it all sorted out. The introduction of the new modem/router seems to have triggered the network of each machine to be set to a Public network, rather than a Home one. I reconfigured it, and I think it's now working. I have to see if I still have the issue of Multiplicity frequently disconnecting from one of the secondary PCs (and then quickly reconnecting). But at least it's working as before.
Hi. I just got a new modem/router, and I see the Multiplicity (which I had set up with 3 machines, and was working) is now saying it can't connect... obviously due to the new modem and/or router (probably router, I'd think). So, I'm just wondering what I need to do to get Multiplicity working again with the new hardware.
Yep, that's one of several things I'm going to try. Some things I confirmed: -Internet connectivity/speed drops momentarily on the primary when that secondary PC is seen and connected to by Multiplicity. Literally happens the moment the taskbar alert about Multiplicity connecting to the secondary appears. Seems like the secondary is hogging bandwidth or tripping up the internet connection to the primary. -Secondary PC is configured properly, and DOES access
Hi. I continue to have issues with that one secondary machine. Multiplicity loses connection once in a while, and usually re-connects right away. Icon/button response on the secondary seems sluggish/delayed, although I'm uncertain that is Multiplicity or not. What I can say, is that that machine is unable to get internet connection, even though the LAN seems to be working (if not losing connection momentarily once in a while). I disconnected the router, and
Ya, I'm using Ethernet, not WIFI. I don't understand how it could keep claiming the passcode was wrong (for the whole day), yet continually (and stabaly) connect (as far as the taskbar alerts), detect it immediately again if I deleted it, as well as pass it in the connection (gear) test. The ethernet/router was working, since it saw the other machine and did all those other things. It just kept claiming (incorrectly) that the passcode wasn't matching (even after I retype
Today it's suddenly connecting to the first Secondary with no problem, like nothing happened. I did nothing to it to 'fix' it. The second Secondary is still doing occasional disconnects with immediate conneccts (claiming it didn't respond fast enough). I've noted that others are having the same issues, and that for some the reinstall is not working. And, also, that they too have it working fine for quite a while, and then the issue suddenly shows up, seemingly for
ADDITIONAL NOTE: A few hours later, I am now experiencing the second Secondary PC (which is just sitting idle) very frequently losing connection, then pretty much immediately reconnecting (as indicated by the taskbar alerts). I tried rebooting the router, but it doesn't seem to have help. I'm assuming something is up with my router, but not sure. This has happened just a few hours after the whole issue with my first Secondary PC constantly failing to connect due to 'incorrec
I tried deleting the computer in Multiplicity, and it shows up (detected) in the available computer list right away. I add it, verify the configuration (including passcode), test it (gear icon), it passes, but then when I try and connect for real, it fails. I've rebooted the router, and computers. Multiplicity keeps saying it has successfully connected to the secondary (via its taskbar alert). Everything 'works' except when I try and do a proper connection. C
Well, as I said, I tried the Passcode edit areas, and it even says it can connect, until I actually try and connect for real.
Well, as I said, I tried the Passcode edit areas, and it even says it can connect, until I actually try and connect for real.
All of a sudden, when I try and connect to my secondary, it says the passcode is not correct. I've checked everything, and it's all correct (I didn't change anything, and it had been working for weeks). Multiplicity even claims it can connect when I do the connection test (gear icon), but when I do a proper connection, it fails due to the 'wrong passcode'. Something very wrong happening, even though everything appears to be set correct, and I hadn't changed anything.
Yep, so that's the regular upgrade price then, right? Great. I think I have everything I need now. Thanks.
That's what I was after. Thanks! Is that the regular update price, or a discounted price during this current sale?
Hi. The demo version is KVM Pro, so I wasn't sure it would be able to replicate what KVM would do. I'll have to see if I can disable any KVM functionality on Secondary2 to test it. As for the pricing, I had mentioned before that those links do not reveal a price. It seems you need an existing purchase in order to see the upgrade pricing... so, it's of no use to someone thinking of buying, and wanting to get into about future options. You had previously provid
Okay, here's another explanation: 3 computers (Win7). Single monitor, keyboard, speakers and mouse. Using Multiplicity KVM (not pro). I have my primary and secondary1 connected via KVM mode. (Seondary2 cannot be connected via KVM mode due to limit of version) This allows me to freely jump between the two, which I frequently do... Now, what I'm trying to sort out, is if I can then connect the third PC (secondary2) to the primary... but have it's video out
Hi. I'm curious... If I use the KVM version (not pro), and I set up a primary and secondary (in KVM mode), would I also be able to add a third PC in KM mode, but have it connected to the same single monitor, BUT A DIFFERENT INPUT on that monitor? Would that count as a 'second monitor'? I have two PCs I regularily switch back/forth on (which would require KVM mode), but a third that I would only need access from on rare occasions... so, I'm wondering if I could go to KM mod
Hi. I was about to purchase Multiplicity Pro, and noticed that all but the pro version are currently on sale. So, would it be smarter/cheaper for me to buy the KM or KVM version (currently on sale), and then upgrade from there? From what I understand, this is the current pricing: KM: $20 (Currently $10 on sale) KVM: $40 (Currently $20 on sale) KVM Pro: $100 (No sale price) To upgrade from KM to KVM: $32 (More expensive than
It would be cool if you could define a specific area at the top of the screen that triggers the appearance of the Multiplicity menu/control bar (ex just the top middle, just the top left, etc). So many times, trying to close or move a (relatively) fullscreen window (or window positioned at the top of the screen) unintentionally brings up the Multiplicity control bar. Being able to define a limited trigger area at the top of the screen would be a great help on that. Even bett
I see I'm not the only one requesting this, but I'm disappointed to see that the previous request was from 2015, and seemingly not addressed. Not having pen pressure support is a real mark against an otherwise excellent program. It would be okay if at least I'd be able to just connect the tablet directly to the secondary (and not need Multiplicity to support pressure), but unfortunately, Multiplicity does not let go of the mouse pointer when using a directly connected drawing
Hi. Yes, both PCs have the software installed. It seems like Multiplicity does not transmit pressure information. Also, even if I unplug the mouse from the Primary, and plug both the tablet and mouse into the secondary, the software seems to still hang onto the mouse position (and you still get the scenario outlined in the 'connect tablet directly to secondary' scenario. This is the one and only thing I have found an issue with, with Multiplicity. It's defi
Hi, any progress on that? I'm loving Multiplicity, and it's serving all my needs, but the tablet thing is a big issue. Again, here's a summary: -3 Win7 PCs (Primary: Win7Premium-64bit, Secondary1-64bit: WinPro, Secondary2: WinPremium-32bit) -1 monitor/keyboard/mouse, so I'm using KVM mode exclusively. -Need drawing tablet (Wamcom Intuos4) to work for Secondary1 (Win7Pro-64bit). Although it would be nice to have it availabl
