Hm, would be a nice suggestion for an additional feature: trade embargos -> prevents a race from creating trade lines with you. cya

Ok, this was brought up in another thread: Bonuses for fleet attacks to avoid the 1 vs 1 “problem”. Frogboy already stated in that thread that there will be no stacking bonuses for attacking ships, but I was wondering: Perhaps you would consider to give the attacker some bonuses the more ships he as surrounding the enemy vessel? So e.g. if I have 3 ships directly besides the enemy dreadnaught, the attacks would still be played 1:1 but the „fleet“ could get so
It was mentioned before but I think it could be expanded: Wormhole Tech -> Make it possible to build Stargates (like the ones in the intro) that can be built on planets (and maybe starbases) so that I can travel in one turn from one gate to another. That would make for some great tactics on giant maps when you can have a "respond" force standing by that can reach the borders of your empire quickly. You could also tone it down a bit with the following variation: The
I agree with that! That was actually one of the better ideas in MoO3, being able to propose something before the council. And second (I think this has already been mentioned here): When you leave the UP Council the laws should no longer apply to you (I don't know what's the actual status is of that so excuse if this has already been adressed).
Just a suggestion for this monster thread: Perhaps the devs can give us a quick summary on what bugs are already listed (and/or acknowledged) in a new topic and we can post "new" bugs or anomalies there? It's kinda impossible to tell wether something was already adressed here... :p Just my 2c...
Well, you could advertise it, however, as there are strong restrictions on mail order regarding 18+ titles it wouldn't make much sense. The only way for stardock to circumvent this is either find an european distributor (that gets the german rating for the game) or sell it online (download) to german customers (as they are already doing). It's rather funny (on a pervert level) that you can buy "bloody" ego shooters that have a 16+ rating without problems but have to go through
You should explain it a little more, Arne. The new law states that every game that is nor rated in germany (and all import games fall under that rule) are automatically rated 18+. Another great example of stupid german laws regarding things the politicians have no clue of. Cya Arno "How do you expect reason when there's no brain?"
Just got it in a shop in munich... :D
My local store now has 1th april as the date; he mentioned some problems getting the US version from infogames... Well, I'll wait until end of this week then I start downloading!
Are you sure you are not a little to demanding? I mean, patches (in the meaning of bug-fixes) will always be free but I would very well be pleased with a one year "subscription" to free bonus packs. Other companies do nothing and then charge you nearly 70% of the original game price for a collection of "game enhancements" on a CD... So I'm quite happy with the way Stardock handles this... cya
Hi there, ok, I installed the SDCentral Client yesterday (Win XP Pro) but didn't have any Problem at all. Don't know if it means anything, but I installes it on a different partition than the OS is residing on. And a comment regarding the boot.ini: Mentioned suggestions (recovering from another machine, or writing a new one as pasted above) will only work if the system was installed on a comparable partition/hdd configuration, as NT/2K/XP numbers the harddisks and
Hi there, excuse this quite simple (and maybe stupid) question, but waiting for GalCiv Release and reading all about the BonusPak and Window-Mode exe I was wondering how I get this stuff? Am I assuming correctly that the Stardock-Central Client comes with my copy of GalCiv and I get a login with my serial number of the game? Or do I have to register somewhere extra and download the client? Thx
@Calis: Don't you have some shop nearby that can import games for you? I know a good one in munich that (hopefully) will get me my US-GalCiv Version close to the release date. *drool cya
MoO3: I just couldn't get rid of the feeling that the computer is playing the game without me... and I like to be involved in my computer games. ;) If I just want something to watch I buy a DVD. LOL So I sold MoO3 today over ebay and preorderd GalCiv, as it seems to be the game I hoped MoO3 would be.
