I usually keeps a relatively small military force just enough to keep the AIs from asking me for tribute. My main method to avoid war is through background manipulation, ie. to pay some tribute or offer some tech in order to persuade one major military power to attack another. In this way the AI's military level can always be kept within a safe level. You can see in the military graph that both war participants' strength decline rapidly after the war begins. Anyone experienced weird connection problem? When I try to connect to galciv.reallyrules.com, the browser always redirects to http://www.web1000search.com/index.asp?id=tzh. Could anyone explain this to me?
I have another problem with terror star. After I loaded a game I saved last night and hit end turn button, I found my terror star movement number changes to 6/1! The terror star now could easily move 6 parsecs a turn. It was grouped with a handful of dreadnoughts and battleships. But even I moved the ships away, it still had the speed boost. And next turn, the game crashes. I tried to reload several times, but the problem persists. :notsure:
I think this requires machine learning of AI. I don't think the game currently supports this feature. It's quite complicated.
