The manual has 9, whereas when I start a game only 6 are available. I seem to be missing Progressive, Industrialists & Universalists Also, the bonuses are diferrent; ie federalists only appear to get the 20% tax revenue boost, with mo mention of the 10% industrial production boost I assume the manual is outdated? Were those other parties deleted? ~SDC~
Brad I have finally got the core game & bonus pack going (hooray!) I d/ling the multimedia, and have only had one time out or error so far (87mbs downloaded) Is changing SDC versions in the middle of a d/l going to create any issues? ~SDC~
that's cool TLA-Russian, my bad for being a bit grumpy ;) I apparently went back 60 mbs with one fail, but I think my download display is a bit inaccurate ~SDC~
no it doesn't; it resumes at the start of the file that it was downloading; that could be 20 mbs back Togakure - I just ordered the CD. Suggest you might think about it. Email me at [email protected] if you need the link ~SDC~

and that just takes the cake; typed out a long message, and guess what, it didn't work what a surprise I have tried for 29 hours now to get a 84 mb file(which I still don;t have); I have sat here probably 8-10 hours nursemaiding this process because you can't leave it for long because of the problems I haven't received the email about the CD; it was promised last week, then 2 days ago, then some hours ago - still nothing ~SDC~

Brad, I beg to differ. I installed RC1 some hours ago, it did not clean out my temp directory, I still have some 241mb there currently (I am on a 56k modem so have not downloaded it all since RC1 installation) I apparently have downloaded 106/84.50 mb, or 125%(!). Someone suggested in another thread that this was a display mistake, but certainly my temp file has not been emptied ~SDC~

hey Togakure I am in NZ too, also with a 56k; don't worry, I have been trying for more than 24 hours now to download the main game file (84.5mbs) funnily enough, I too have been having home alarm problems today which obviously doesn't help matters anyway I'm still trying ~SDC~

well this is good; I am still trying to download the game file; it tells me that I have downloaded currently 85.31/84.50 mb (yes more than the file size)& I have 71.5 MILLION minutes estimated time remaining yes I have the newest stardock central file I have been trying for close to 21 hours to download an 84.5 meg file.... ~SDC~
ah in fact I am downloading the GC 1.01 file. This file is repeatedly failing Extract File: C:\PROGRA~1\STARDOCK\SDCENT~1\temp\Base\galciv.ex_ Result: Failed (deleted file) Installation aborted (failed) The download manager shows this as being 84.50/84.50 mbs downloaded. However when I go to continue the install it drops back to 93% completed or about 78/84.50 mbs downloaded any ideas? ~SDC~
I am having trouble with the download manager; I repeatedly get fails as noted above Extract File: E:\Games\SDCentral\temp\Mod_Multimedia\movies\5_trade01.bi_ Result: Failed (deleted file) Installation aborted (failed) with the "problem" file changing. When I resume the download it goes back to a point several megs before the fail. As I am on a 56k modem, this does not fill me full of confidence for downloading the multimedia.. ~SDC~
