Yep, although I haven't had the experience of a recession right after the boom. In any case, if an econ boom goes, push production use to 100%, lower taxes (especially if you have econ facilities throughout your empire), and if you have military ships, attack! (...cuz you never know when the boom ends...)

My opinion: building starbases on multiple sectors does not give any more advantage (trade wise) than building it all in one sector except it offers flexibility (i.e., other trade routes going through a certain sector). Of course there are other benefits to building starbases in multiple sectors such as cultural influence and military bonuses...
I like social/military production bonuses, tech bonuses, planet quality bonuses, and morale bonuses. I play around with those. Sometimes I throw in influence and/or population growth bonuses. And I've always picked Technologists. :D
Methinks if you attack with a stack it picks the highest attacker rating first; and against a stack it goes against a ship with the highest defender rating. I say this b/c I've had Battleaxes and Battleships in a stack before, and the Battleship always attacks first. ;)
How does having a negative balance on your funds make morale go up? I have this compulsion of always having my funds with positive cashflow...
As of last Sunday, the EB in the Great Mall (Milpitas, CA) is also stocked with a few copies. Might be a long drive, but if you can't find it anywhere else...
Ah yes, this event. In the middle of smacking the Drengin and holding off the Acreans politically... so the grand fleet is away on operations. Event hit. I said, "feh, I'd like to see this one." Then evil came... and surrounding star systems, including my industrial one and my home one, all became unhappy. Then the dreadnoughts came... then my grand fleet got squished by the black evil... then the Drengin came back... Wonder what this event does if you're evil? Free dr
Just to add my input in... D/L and installed SDC first. D/L and archived GalCiv, Mult. Pack, Bonus Pack. Restore from archive Galciv, Mult., Bonus (in that order). At this point, SDC reports all of these installed. I even checked it again by quitting SDC and running it again. Still says all 3 are installed. Then a few days later, ran SDC, updated app, and now it's saying GalCiv is not installed. So I would think that when the update comes up for me (haven't chec
I too would like ship design, especially since the rest of galciv is so well made. But, with so many other options to win, it's not a show stopper. Besides, when modding comes in..... :CONGRAT: As to multiplayer. I like playing multiplayers not on the internet, but with my wife, especially since she likes these types of games a lot. But again, it's no biggie. I think Gamespy is just stating that because the industry is so into multiplayer right now; it's the same when 3D game
I did this successfully but only after a few tries. First of all search the sticky thread about obtaining the Release Candidate 1 of Stardock. This is only the known version of Stardock that works, apparently. ;p After Stardock is run, on the menu bar make sure you update the application (forget the specifics, not at home atm). After inputting your code and you see the galciv, etc. items on the drengin tab of Stardock, you can select the item in question, say Gal Civ.
