I took a $10 off preorder sale at D2D for Civ5. I regret that now. Should have paid the extra $10 for the manual and bought it at the store. Of course D2D had the non-refundable offer due to offering Civ3 with it. Last time I preorder from them. Oh well, no real big deal.
I feel we owe him, and the rest of the people working very hard to make this an awesome game, an apology and need to own up to our own mistakes as fans of Stardock games.
I don't really get this. They work and produce a game. I pay them. I do not owe them a thing, especially an apology.
Why did you post this embarrassing piece of game journalism? I like GameStar, but their review of Elemental is despicable and ignorant of a lot of issues the game has at the moment. There are even some claims in the final verdict that are downright false.
You need to learn that reviews are opinions, and accept them as such. Not everything bugs people in the same way. Yep, the city defense did sound cool. I always wanted more of a war game experience in Civ, and this one sounds like it will deliver. As far as the AI goes, it always cheated so bad that I don't doubt it will handle it. Also, not to mention those graphics look pretty impressive for a civ game. The only drawback I noticed is the typical 2k DLC nick-and-dime to death strategy. An extra $10 for the digital special edition which has the Babylonians. Yea, I don't think so. Missing a few co

I will own both. I preordered Civ5 once I heard that combat is going to be more like panzer general. I played so much Civ2 that I couldn't stand to play much of Civ3 or 4, even though I own both once they went on sale for very cheap.

I had a friend from years back that would love to throw everything on one dialog. It would make sense to him, but everyone else would go "Wtf!? what the heck am I suppose
Quoting Qyth, reply 36I got it for $40. I've put Elemental up for now. Playing Tropico 3's expansion from the current sale while I wait for my Civ5 pre-order. I will get back to Elemental now and then. This is a great idea. I bought Tropico 3 from a sale on D2D, do you have any idea if the expansion will work with that? I've already been burned by Impulse's copy of Oblivion not being compatible with some mods, so
I dont get the people here claiming that CIV IV is worse than the previous games. CIV III towards endgame became more and more boring with micromanagement and very slow performance. The maintenance/corruption model was hopless too. CIV IV AI was pretty good after a while in my opinion. CIV IV is the game I have played the most and that says something for a 38 year old gamer
Civ2 was my favorite. I have long h
Or vice versa? The best example I can think of is a Cheetah. It would have really high sprint, but I'm not sure how much ground it could cover in a day (assuming it was motivated)
Well, a cheetah should definitely have it's movement slowed by a short sword.
