Hi! Your ideas for the next update! I have many. Consider this a warnig! Espionage : if I really must use spies, please make using them less invasive. Sometimes I want just to incease the intel level in order to avoid random events with that race, but I had to spend quite some of spies for that, since the receiving race defends itself. Multiply the n

Hi! You may find these threads usefull: Economy help In GC2 & Dark Avatar and My first DA game. Please help BR, Iztok
Hi! understanding was that if the attacker and defender eliminate each other at the same time, the attacker comes away with one ship at 1hp. Not always the attacker. There are already some posts about that issue. IMO it's an unintended game glitch. BR, Iztok
Hi! Could someone take me through the ins and outs of the game? You may find this thread usefull. BR, Iztok
Hi! However when I looked at them on the planetscape they were nowhere near +50. Check the plant's details, and note how many basic production points it can produce. Now set spending to 100%, military slider to 100%, soc and res to 0% and check the planet's output. It should be exactly the base_production * (1 + race_bonuses + tech_bonuses + planet_bonuses). BR, Iztok
Hi! Extreme Colonization in DA For those you didn't know (I for sure didn't, and am pretty regular here): planets with extreme habitats, marked with "yelow" and "red" icon have penalized ONLY MILITARY AND SOCIAL PRODUCTION! The rest: money, food, research, pop growth and morale are always at 100% ! BR, Iztok
Hi! I had something like 75+ economic starbases along this tremendous route Ugh! You really have strange ways to entertain yourself. I 've built econ SBs only in GC-1. Trade there really meant something: in quite some games I've been getting over 50% of my income just from trade. But in GC-2 I've built only a couple of SBs in very first games I played. I
Hi! So planet 1 is basically further away and planet 2 is closer but has bigger poulation and has eco improvements. So which one should I send a freighter from to get the most money longterm? Until planets have a decent population (6B is decent) you'll get more income from the longer route. In my test between my 40B+ planet and 12B planet I lost ~15% of trade
Hi! Are these numbers accurate for DA? As far as I played yes (didn't test the 20% and below). BR, Iztok
Hi! I can't seem to win the 'Death of the Korx' episode in the DA campaign My mission ended when one of my Anomaly Explorer ships entered that sector. I'll say I felt almost cheated: it was way to easy. BR, Iztok
Hi! I started the game using the New game button not the Metaverse game button. Does it make a difference? Yes. You played a normal game. To get your game to metaverse you need to go through procedure behind Mataverse button. BR, Iztok
Hi! the fact that he was talking to me was a sign he didn't need the translator. Long ago (DL 1.0x) I objected to this, and obviously it still isn't fixed. BR, Iztok
Hi! But you still get a taxable population... Do you? I remember reading Draginol discussing this issue, and he stated the population on such a planet will not produce ANY money. Speaking of those limitations: do they really work? One of those two radiated planets I mentioned got a 55% research bonus, and had a 700% bonus research tile on it. OFC I turned it into my main reseach planet, which produced ~400SP with a research slider at 50%. When
Hi! When should the colonization techs be researched? IMO immediately after you get all level-1 buildings (xeno lab, factory, advanced market) and other early and cheap techs that give bonuses to whole empire (planetary improvements, xeno medicine(?) for 10% bonus in growth...). In my current maso game I've waited too long with these planetary techs, and neighboring AIs have beaten me to ALL of close planets, as each one researched tech for a dif
Hi! So, can someone tell me what the actual mathematical/statistical advantage is for asteroid mining? Why don't you check by yourself? Upgrade an asteroid, move the Miner away, and click on the new minig base. In bottom part of the screen (context area) you'll get all the stats you're asking for. BR, Iztok
Hi! Creativity (is this some kind of research bonus?) Asked many times, AFAIK developers never answered. But its description sounds to me like it could give my race access to tech from other alignments, e.g. playing good, but getting access to evil weapon(s). BR, Iztok
Hi! Luck increases your minimum attack rolls in battle to the Luck% * the max roll. So a ship with 4 attack and 50% Luck will roll 2-4 when attacking, rather than 1-4 (in DA, it is possible to roll 0 on attack rolls as well, so this is even more useful). It may also do more, but I'm not sure exactly what if anything. IMO that's not exactly true. In DA ships fire each weapon separately, so you need to have a weapon that deals at least 2 points of damage to
Hi! plus 5 morale mining bases You must be in a gigantic galaxy. In my large I scanned ~90% of it, and found only two morale resources. And Drath have beten me to one by 5 parsecs! <br/
Hi! love it it when the AI builds Orbital fleet managers on their worlds. I just means I can knock that world out and take it over in one turn, as opposed to 3 or 4. Have you ever tried to disband your fleet after it destroyed the real ships in orbit, and then attacked those remaining puny defenders with each of your ships separately? BR, Iztok
Hi! ...with Orbital Fleet Manager allowing you to max to the 10 ships without being limited by your Logistics. It should also give additional ~25% bonus to attack and defense to ships in orbit. And Omega Defense System should give significant bonus to HPs for every ship on every planet of the player that has built it. Made them so, and I'll consider using them for the first time in a game. BR, Iztok
Hi! which political party would be the best fit for a Drengin player hellbent on early warfare? In DA you get less money early, so early warfare is problematic. Less money means less research, less production, less buildings on planets, even less troops, as you need to tax your pop higher to get enough money to develop properly. For early warfare you don't need much of research, but more production, and a steady flow of cash to fund it, so techn
Hi! [DAv1.5x] Nerf Defense! (lol) LOL really! I'm in a first sandbox masochistic 1.5x game and can say I NEVER BEFORE killed so many ships so easily with just one medium hull as I'm doing now. My design is medium hull, single impulse III engine, 4 plasma (beam attack 8), 5 superior duranthiums (armor 15), costs ~350BC, and am fighting arceans' fleets of 4-5 small hulls 15-18 mass attacks each, no defenses. Average damage my single ship receives
Hi! AI still not researching plague cure under 1.5X In my game Altarians and Arceans do. Others seem to want to finish their current research, before researching the cure. The problem is their current research takes up to 20 turns to complete (slowest tech, no tech trade, large uni game). BR, Iztok
Hi! unless I set my total spending and social spend very high ( far too high for the empire as a whole ) then the new colony gets no social spend and the factory build time is never. My usuall mid-game sliders are 1%/49%/50%. That assures 50% of social production, and if there's none, then production goes to military. And if I don't want to spend money for ships, I either don't buld a Starport there, or I set its production to Nothing. But to boost produc
Hi! The last test I did was to answer a question if low approval affects the income on a planet. The answer is yes, but it is a very low penality, and shows only after some time (several months). In the observed planet with 47B pop I destroyed 9 VRCs to get approval down to 38%. After some time the revenue decreased by 1BC to 49. Even when I destroyed additional 3 VRCs, and approval fell down to 28%, the revenue hadn't decreased anymore. I got an unhappy flag over the planet, but even after
