pictoratus: Thank you for the suggestion. I tried your suggestion exactly as you said and unfortunately, it did not work for me. The ugly default OS shadow around the Start Panel remains and my WB is still being recognized by SKS5 as a UIS1 skin. I truly appreciate your time and effort trying to help me solve this problem. Very appreciated!
You're welcome. :) It's too bad Support hasn't addressed this issue in SKS6. I have a feeling it will continue to be an pr
alphabyte, I had an issue with one of my skins being seen as a UIS1 skin by SKS5. Here's what I did to correct it (not sure if it will fix your issue but it may be worth a try) In SKS6,clean the skin (Tools/Clean Skin), then make a WBA package (File/Make WBA Package), switch to a different skin in WBconfig, then delete your problem skin in WBconfig, then find the WBA package that was created earlier and doubleclick it. This will put your skin back into WBconfig; change
Happy Birthday, Zoomba! :)
I haven't verified this but Cavan told me that setting in SKS6 did nothing ... yet. Try setting it in SKS5 ... I know that works; it's how I've done it.
Bravo! Nice article and very informative! :CONGRAT:
Yeah, True Image is the way to go. My last 're-install' was just restoring a previous image I had when something went wonky. I make a new image about every week or so. I also image my data drive ... the one with skins, WIP, etc.
Xp will still be available to System Builders for a while yet. This
Support returned my call and this registration thing is screwed up at the moment. They are well aware of this and am looking into it further. They asked me to use SD Central as this may take a few weeks.
is from this [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/306701/page/1/#1688965"]WWW Link[/link] thread. The bad serial/ failure to activate is a known problem.
Yeah ... those greedy fucking capitalists! :( Boy, am I glad there aren't any capitalists here ... uh ..oh, wait :SURPRISED: .. nevermind X-(

This is an older test, I believe, but it does have Windows builtin firewall results included ... they're not good :NOTSURE: [link="http://www.matousec.com/projects/windows-personal-firewall-analysis/leak-tests-results.php"]WWW Link[/link]
It's been dreadfully slow for the past week or so - on and off. Several times I have just given up and gone elsewhere. I lost count of the number of times it took OVER TWO MINUTES for a thread to load or to post a reply. I've got a high speed connection and when I went to other sites they loaded instantly. Same if I swopped browsers. Very poor, very poor indeed.
ditto Also, for what it's worth, lots of either duplicate posts or posts just not there after th
In SKS6 #1) Edit Startmenu and Taskbar/More Programs Background/Text tab - Make left margin more negative #2) Change Skin Colours/Show me the skin defined system colours (drop down box)/Menu - you'll have to play with this to get it close as possible to color of the background of that menu. #3) In Edit Startmenu and Taskbar/Taskbar Group Menu - Make sure to check the text tab in both Background and Menu Items
Looking good! :CONGRAT:
Congratulations, Po! Well deserved, my friend. :D Double post ... oh well .. it deserved saying twice!
Congratulations, Po! Well deserved, my friend. :D
Update .. I heard from Mike with support. Unfortunately, there's not really an answer for why SKS5 does this on some skins. And since it is no longer supported/developed, the best we can do is try to find a workaround. The steps I took worked for me .. sorry I can't offer more. I have let Mike know of the shortcomings of SKS6 which is the reason for continuing to use SKS5. Hopefully, they will implement all the features in SKS6 soon, so we won't need SKS5 any longer.
Happy Birthday, Mike! :D
A bunch of nice looking RC skins! :CONGRAT:
I tend to think it is the other way around ... I believe, in general, a lot of the people that would pirate/ think they need to 'stick it to the man'/ believe they are owed something/ or are out to get whatever handout or freebie they can get their hands on, tend to be Liberals ... simply for the reason that Liberals are more willing to give out free stuff (money, food stamps, etc.) and if you don't think some people support Liberals because it's the best way t
