76% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score! Had to make do on #9 and #17 ... the sandwich is a Po'Boy and throwing paper over a house (and trees, cars, etc.) is called wrapping. Oh, and we just call them beer stores .. don't matter if you can drive through or not ;)

[quote]WindowBlinds has not been activated correctly on this PC. Please activate it from SDC.[/quote] That may be your problem there. Activate the software and see if that does the trick. ;)
Sorry to hear of your troubles, BoXXi. I really hope everything works out for you. Keep your chin up! ;)
/me keeps his hands off his support ticket
I thought it had character ;)
As soon as I hear from Stardock Support, I'll let you know :)
[quote]Having someone else poke fun at an entire group of people who feel they should do something, is another matter.[/quote] There are many, many people that are 'doing' something ecologically sound and not uttering one peep about it; much less proclaiming their 'noble' deeds to the world. It's those that loudly proclaim with the obvious intent of collecting accolades, while exhibiting grossly anti-ecological behavior ... jetting all over the country/world to coerce, harangue
You can try what I did in the previous post, lovely Haven't heard back from Stardock Support yet, so it's still unknown as to what causes SKS5 to think the skin is in UIS1 format. In my case, performing the steps I listed apparently changed something in the skin enough to satisfy SKS5. :)
[quote]I noticed we now have the ability to Archive. Right click an app, and select "Archive Application". But the archives are 0 bytes.[/quote] Well, it's a start anyway ;) I notice that 'More Info' basically takes you to a page to buy the software. Not really informative ... but maybe that is the intent. :NOTSURE:
Congrats to all! :CONGRAT:
[quote]"Vista Ready"[/quote] "Vista Ready" means that the skinner has checked that box when uploading his skin. There is no guarantee that all the parts are there or that it will look correct on your system. As Quentin said, it's pretty much left up to the skinner to do as he prefers.
[quote]pictoratus, I hate to say this, but now I've got ads back. Your are a jinx. See if I ever reply to one of your posts again.[/quote] oops!
Update: I 'fixed' both these issues by opening the skin in SKS6, exporting to a WBA, changing to a different skin in WB config, deleting the one I had been working on and re-adding it using the WBA I had created. The odd thing is that I have two other skins in progress that have never been made WBAs and they don't give me the error in SKS5 nor do they have Stardock listed as the author in WB config preview. It would be nice to know what it was about that skin that flag
Holy crap! I had to post reply 2 [B]three times[/B] before it would show!
I'm using IE7, Philly. And it comes and goes sporadically. Clearing cookies, etc. does nothing. Just in the last several minutes, as I was checking several threads, responding to one and going back to the forum main page, they are there, then they're not, then back again. They do seem to show up mainly on the main forum page ... but not always. I just noticed I'm also seeing those underlined words that give you a popup when you mouse over them. Does
[quote]As far as "Earth Hour" goes......... what a load of nonsense. We turn our lights off for hours, everyday. It's called time to sleep.[/quote] There you go! We all just need to sleep an hour longer tomorrow night ... and then we can all feel better about ourselves! ;p
[quote]Earth hour doesn't fix anything, it just has people turn off their lights for an hour.Welcome to the liberal world. The leftists don't do anything to actually solve a problem, they just do things to make each other "feel" good about something, even though it doesn't actually help[/quote] It's odd how there are a group of people, in the US anyway, that give more credence to symbolic gestures such as 'talking about doing something' or 'having the right attitude' or 'performing usele
Why not have a page that the freshly signed up user is shown with something to the effect of 'Now you've signed up, here's how to get started' with links to these types of articles .. along with the wiki of course. Great walk-thru, ID ;)
[quote]And what about Archiving ... [/quote] And equally, if not more important, what about [B]restoring[/B] archives ... don't see that option anywhere ... well, except for SDC ... hehe ;)
Ok, I see where to enable archiving in Impulse .. just not seeing where and how to restore those archives. Assuming that will come later? ~note to myself to open SDC and archive everything I updated in Impulse~ ;)
[quote]In the GALLERY ~ Editing Comments: If you choose to edit a comment and submit it, the text does get updated, but it causes the smileys in all of the comments (not just the edited comment, but all of them) to go away and become just image tags. I'm not a website designer, but it would seem that the code could be adjusted to prevent this from happening. (Presuming, of course, that it's not just my computer and is a universal problem.)[/quote] I've seen that also ... never notic
Happy Birthday, Jack! :D
Oh yeah, one other bit of weirdness ... although I can't say for sure it didn't exist before the SKS6 update. Despite the entry of my personal data (author name, website, etc), the preview in WB config still shows Stardock as the author of the skin.
