I'm thinking of doing affiliate/sponsored gadgets. My first one will be called "IconOn" and hopefully HeadOn could sponsor it? Insert annoying jingle here.
Another option, you can set movement to locked.
/me adds that to his bag of tricks :) Thanks!
If you are using the latest beta, you might want to post this info in [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=165&aid=177798#1468368"] this [/link] thread.
kitty ... in the Edit Start Menu window, the third tab 'Painting Margins' has the four settings for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right. That's where you set the unstretched/untiled areas ... used to be called sizing margins The fourth tab 'Text' is where you set the text area ... used to be called content margins
It can depend on what you're doing. Another way is to set activation to none.(Relation tab|Activation).
Thanks SirSmiley My main concern was to prevent the individual objects from being moved independently of the whole. If I grabbed the main body part and dragged it, everything else moved with it, but I didn't realize I could grab the glass and move it off the main body part. Putting everything in a group seems to have fixed that. :) Upload
WTM has "high lime content". Here's what you are looking for below: Do you see it?
 Yeah, skins with truly transparent windowframes are a pain to use ... hard to tell which window you are looking at when there is no blur and/or little or no opaqueness

The security feature for sending PMs seems broken. More times than not, it will mistakenly tell me I have typed the letters incorrectly. Granted, I may get it wrong occasionally, but not 9 of 10 times! So far it always works the second try.
In Windowblinds config>Settings, 'Play Sounds Defined by Skin (if any) will not stay unchecked. After closing the Config screen and reopening, the checkbox has rechecked itself.
It might be disinheartening and cause me not to post again.
 ;)
I check the box that says "Play sounds defined by skins (if any)" box checked, hit "apply changes" and nothing happens. HOWEVER, if I close WB and then re-open, that little box has un-checked tself!
Same issue here. Unchecking the box so as not to have skin sounds doesn't 'stick'. It rechecks itself.
No..that's another issue I failed to mention......example: I load a thread that has 13 pages of replies and read to #630 then later I see that the page has been active and is up to #670 and has 14 pages. I open it and it starts me at page 1 reply #1. Then I have to click the >> to get to the last page (last item per Bebi's post) and then the Annoys the hell out of me when that happens :(
No, I think one of the things that's going to result from this is a better way to communicate with beta testers and to reward them.
:CONGRAT:
ummm ... guys, this thread is about 4 years old (not that the advice isn't still relevant) ;)
I am key (of) borg ... hit F1 to continue ;p
The little icons bottom right in every post. Anyone know what they are? Thought not! A text 'report thread' etc makes more sense. Rate this reply? What is that for?
What does happen when you click those icons? This is somewhat related (possibly ... I haven't clicked one of them ... don't know what will happen) but it would be convenient while browsing the forums to have the moderators/wizops/etc names in the right pane (where Channels and Recent Forum Act
Feedback on products: I have seen this go several ways, I have posted numerous posts on DX problems, bug, feature requests, some of them were fixed in days (hell in hours on 1) and other just get ignored. And at some point you get tired of bringing up the same problems over and over, so you stop giving feedback. I'm sure that has happened to all of us. I know this happened to me with CursorFX, it keep messing up over and over, I posted on this, gave people the feedback, and the only respo
Speaking from experience, just the title "master" is intimidating. Not easy for new people to ask for help when they are in awe of the skinner.
I'm not a Master (or a Journeyman either, for that matter) ... hasn't stopped me from helping out noobs ;)
It would be nice to see skinners of higher rank/experience offering their services to newbies.
Some of us have been ... for quite a while
Look at the CursorFX release. There's multiple posts complaining in the vaguest terms that it doesn't work on their systems. It works here just fine. Nearly everyone here is running CursorFX on XP or Vista without incident.
Umm, Frogboy ... some of your support guys may not be telling you everything ;) But, from the looks of it, Alberto (and team) is working on these known issues.
On the beta testing issues, would it not be a better company policy to ask for volunteers to test the beta products before they go out on general public release? I am sure you could get a large 'pool' of participants from WC to 'private beta test' for you. A 'pool' of say thirty or so users from WC should be suffient and I'm sure some of the 'specialists' in certain applications would love to participate as well as some of the 'general users'.
I agree with Leo ... and if
Try disabling all the add-ons in IE7 and see if the crashes stop. If so, re-enable the add-ons one at a time with enough time between each one to see which one is crashing IE7
Try the Hot Tracking color, werewolf
Glad you're ok, kona :)
