Excellent, that's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the help.

I'm confused by the Upgrade button. I would assume that it would give me the exact ship that I had selected when I clicked Upgrade. Instead, I seem to always get the unmodified base model without any additions. After I've spent a bunch of time tweaking a ship design I would prefer to not re-work all of the components but for instance, just upgrade the guns. Is this possible or do I always have to start from scratch? Am I doing something wrong here?
I might be botching this so please school me if I'm missing something. I have two ships in the same spot - for instance, just after i remove one from a fleet. Is it possible to see the button to upgrade that ship without moving it away from the other ship - or some other easy way to upgrade the ship without moving it. Subsequently - is there a way to upgrade all ships of a certain type or multiple ships at once? I'm finding the upgrad
I just had some fantastic fun with a feature that is in this game but not Civ - trading units! I got attacked at a distant system and had very few ships on hand to repel the invaders. Luckily, I had a significant tech advantage over 2 other non-enemy civs in the area. I traded techs for ships and immediately bolstered my defense and saved the planet. (In fact, I bought so many ships that I ended up with a huge military advantage against the attacking civ and they signed for peace 3 turns late
I haven't gotten far enough in the tech tree to really comment on having so many things to build that I'm not building some, but I have learned the following... Building both a military and a social item in every planet just doesn't work. I never have enough production to complete everything and I don't keep up. So I find myself focusing on 3-5 systems building both and the rest building mostly social improvements until they've caught up. Also, when at war, I have to put an
Uhm, the serious newb here trying to invade a planet and not able to figure out how to get a transport to land. I've destroyed all ships in orbit around the planet but I can't seem to get my transports to land. Turn after turn goes by - I see that the pointer is on the planet so the transports should be going there, but they don't. This is my 4th game and the first game that I've managed my production well enough to go on the offensive. Now I am stuck behind a technical problem that is not l
As I understand the manual in regards to the sliders, if no star systems are producing any military units and yet your military slider is 33%, in effect the production will go to the other two. However, if your systems are using the military prod slot and are actually making something, then you are setting the production for that item relative to the amount of income received from the planet with the MSR sliders. This leaves me a question tho. With the MSR sliders, am I setting the am
