I also fall into the "Epic Generator - Cut it if ya gotta!" camp. I am more interested in the core game and that means the Computer AIs. I appreciate the developer's initiative and desire to create a new and evolutionary features, but in the end (to me) it is a "side" feature not a "core" feature. Regarding the existing logging, I've worked on systems in the past that do Event Publishing, and you could then add a "Event Logging" window that would list all possible events and the abili

3D-Analyze (http://www.tommti-systems.de/start.html) was mentioned in another thread. I too have a Geforce4 440 go in a Toshiba 5000 X1Z (Canadian version very close to yours) and it does work, with no noticable performance degradation. Two thumbs up! It won't help your "in-game" experience, but if you download the RAD Video Tools (http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm) you can watch the tutorials outside the game. I have very bad "stuttering" in-game (but my CPU / GPU are low end), but outside they are 99% smooth.

I agree... SDC is a wonderful idea. Yes, it is having a few growing pains but I still think it is a good program. Regarding the "small readme". Have you seen the "History" link in the lower left panel (right next to the version). This will show the updates to the module. Unfortunately... this only seems to be usable for the primary GalCiv Module, not all modules.

For the most part I have not had problems with SDC either. Yes, I did have to download the 80+ MB for the first GalCiv update, and now I had this hiccough. But everything other upgrade has gone smoothly. After this I will have updated all of the components at least once so I am hopeful I won't have any further problems. 33% done, 66% to go... Thank goodness for DSL.
