Actually AsokGreen is correct...but you are also correct It really depends on the context of the question and situation. Let us take this example: I flip a coin. I have a 50% chance it is heads. Obviously. No one would dispute that

Just purchased GC2 a few days ago and have been playing it non-stop. I haven't even had time to download any updates! Anyway just some questions for all the GC2 gurus! 1. What strategy are you using for low class planets? How about high class? For me, any class 5 planet or lower are used mainly for research. I just build tons and tons of research centres and labs etc. Anything over 10 I add a space station ( i forgot what it is ca

Hi everyone. Have been a huge GCI fan since it was released and am waiting in Australia for GC2 to be released. I think EB told me that March 7th or something is the release date for Australia. Anyway, I have read the two reviews on the internet but just wanted to know from the players what the ship design and ship combat is like in GC2. Is it like SEIV and MOO2? I know there isn't tactical combat. Let me explain further. Although GC1 was one of my favourite games, I wa

>>- empire scores are in some way balanced against the number of players I like this idea. I know for a certainty that an individuals metaverse score is calculated by taking into account the number of games you have submitted not just individual game score. This is so a person does not submit 1000 low scoring game and beat a person who played a good long game.

I know I'm going to get a lot of flak thrown my way :D Do you guys think that stardock should restrict the number of players per empire (eg. 20 players per empire). This should allow some fairness between an "open" empire and an "invite" empire. Furthermore, this should make a closer community since each player will need to work hard for the empire. The example I'm going to use is the current top ranking empire apolyton and the second empire, Imperia Galactica. I have no doubt

This reminds me of that simpsons episode about the bear in springfield. Lisa :It is like me saying that this rock deters bears Homer: Does it really lisa? Lisa: Do you see any bears around? Homer: I give you $50 for it. Lisa takes the money. I haven't seen that episode for ages so the description of the episode might be off. ;)

>>Arceans were trying to hijack civilian trade ships to defend their colonies which resulted in eradic trade revenue. Trade ships are civilian controlled, governments (human or computer) are not allowed to control them. It sounds like Brad created a super AI that went out of control :D

PontiusBruinPilot, the stand alone 1.03 update will cover all previous updates. Downloading the patches won't take long actually...an hour maximum. I recommend SDC Central, cause you get incremental updates. Another thing I forgot to add... I hope you enjoy your weekend Frogboy!!!

My guess would be leases. I was able to crank out aprodiasiacs and diplomatic translators quite fast early in the game. I chose the one with the cheapeast up front payment and cheapeast bc repayments then sold some of my techs for cash and did the same for diplomatic translators. Then I simply reduce spending and increased tax to give myself a positive cash flow.

Just to add another point... Many games released comes with a small thin manual. Most people then complain about it. However, with GalCiv, Frogboy and colleagues are actually going to change this. They want to update the manual. What!!!!??? Again, as I said before: They don't need to do this!!! But they do and that to me says it all. Can someone name one company that actually update their user manual FOR THE CUSTOMERS??? Thank you again Frogboy, your support is above and beyond

>>Cannot get details on technologies while in diplomacy screen. It would be nice to get details on technologies while in diplomacy. Note, however that at the end of the day you may not need to know the details on techs in the diplomacy screen. The reason is because any tech you research usually comes up at the start of the turn, so you have a fair idea of what it does. Furthermore, the more you play the more you will understand what each tech does. It would be nice to have deta

Dear Frogboy, I am writing this letter to you to express my appreciation for your continued service. You have shown to be a unique individual with a unique team of programmers. You and your colleagues have shown devotion to all of your customers. I have not come across a single developing team which REGULARLY updates games. Not only with bug fixes but ENHANCEMENTS, FREE TECHS, FREE SHIPS. You absolutely do not need to do this. Repeat: There is no reason for you or ANY developer in this
