I wouldnt underestimate espionage. Knwoing what research projects they have currently running will help your own research strategy. And imagine the research turns they will lose when you sell your research project they are currently running (muahaha)

Evil >>>>> Good All my planets have +40% PQ or better (yes, i save and load). I want to beat that AI on the highest difficulty/gigantic map)
I prefer Bach
Not always sol, looks almost like a random planet in your empire. Anyway - it gave me much more money then developing freighters and lose a zilion turns to get the ships to the destination i want
I add a very nice tactic on trade check your oponents frequently and when they have a freighter BUY IT!! This will give you a freighter in their system - you dont need time to invest in building freighters, and most important - you will have a freighter in THEIR system!!
1. Starbases add production, trade income, defense/attack/speed of all friendly ships (need more constructors for this and update the star base). So if you have 5 or so planets in that section (yes, its the square) all those planets will have +x% production with only a few constructors. Most important - starbases are commulative - so many starbases in a sector can give you over 1000% production bonus 2. Depends on your influence. Dont underestimate the power of influence - i got 25+ cla
Its quite normal they ask high prices since they have a monopoly, iow you cant make it.
I have experience on small maps, and ive noticed that some picks (+1 spd for example) are awesome on these maps; I was wondering what would be a good choice for gigantic maps on a high difficulty level (intelligent or genius). I think i go with War party (+50% hp), though Federalists or Technologists also seem good choices. The idea is that with high hp ships, i need less of them for defense/attack, increasing my constructor output rate and decreasing my maintainance costs. Pic
