I've been able to play for a few hours without any crash or obvious bug, so the game is definitely stable on my hardware. on the other hand, after leaving the game, I still had a GalCiv process using 1.7 GB and quite a bit of CPU, so it seems you forgot something in the threads cleaning-up. A point in the game mechanics: when you colonize a new planet, could it be possible to place manually the colony capital? Most of the times, it seems it is set randomly on an isolated tile, whi

I haven't used Python for 10 years (and didn't like it then) and I've never used LUA, but I think LUA would be a better choice for two reasons : First, the syntax with the white spaces in front of Python code will drive insane a lot of developers (beginners or veterans) who are not used to it, me included! [e digicons]O:)[/e] Second, most of the games nowadays (the biggest being World of Warcraft) use LUA. There is now a huge modding community knowing LUA and to my
Yes, I have an accented letter in my name. I've tried with a pure ASCII username, and I've been able to play the beta. (I've even managed to win, although I had no strategy whatsoever.)
Sorry for the late reply but I wasn't having internet access over the week-end. I've created the folder hierarchy manually (BTW, you can't create C:\Users when you already have C:\Utilisateurs as Vista recognizes it's the same). That allowed me to start the game. But as for Kazcroot, the game freezes at the battle screen : it shows the map, you see teh animated water, then the water animation stops and nothing happens. You have then to get the task manager to kill the game.</p
When launching a new game, Demigod tries to create a directory such as C:\Users\ \Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Forge\replays\ I suppose that the problem is that I have a french Vista and that in that case, it should be in C:\Utilisateurs\. Or maybe it's a problem of rights. Anyway, that totally blocks the game.
I haven't got the courage to read the full 10 pages of this thread, so it has perhaps been requested before. I'd really like to be able to localize anomalies on the mini-map. Sending a research vessel is very tedious at the moment, since you have to scroll through all your explored are to find where the next anomaly is... (plus the anomalies are not so easy to spot already on the main map)
I've bought a Derngin account yesterday evening. In the confirmation page, I was having two links, one to download Stardock Central, one to download GalCiv. I've downloaded the GalCiv installer, but of course, my Drengin.net serial number doesn't work with it. (So why did I get that link in the first place?!? :notsure: ) I've then downloaded Stardock Central (I've asked for the link again by email, and on the email, there is only the link to Stardock Central), and started downloading Gal
